Solid bike with great spec and price

I'm 6'4" on an XL and like the other reviewer mentioned, toe overlap is definitely a thing and I don't have large feet (sz 11-12 depending on shoe). Other things worth mentioning the wheels are 28 hole, not 24 as indicated in the specs. Bike also comes with some bonus features not found on a lot of bikes at this price point - FSA compression plug, XT Centerlock rotors and Shimano E-Thru axles. Having a pretty proportional body, I found the fit to be excellent, didnt need to change stem or bars (yet). Bottle cages are also nice spec of the side loading variety which I appreciated. Overall I highly recommend this bike to anyone considering, you wont be disappointed. Attached a photo, for reference my seat is set to 32" from center of crank to saddle top, fork is uncut, stem installed -7 degree rise.

A lot of bike for the money - with a few quibles

So I really like the Haanjo trail. It is great a great bike for getting out on the gravel and the components at this price point are first rate. Ultegra / HED all very good. I am a little disappointed with DB on three issues. 1) On the DB website and in the REI description they specify a Sram Rival Crank as opposed to the FSA that the bike comes with 2) The rims are tubeless ready and come with valve cores but the tires themselves are not the tubeless casing version (will work but should come with the TL version tires IMHO) 3) the geometry is such that on the large size frame with long cranks my shoe can and does hit the front tire on tight turns (this is the one that I really need to think about long term as a potential deal breaker). The build by REI was good not great. Front derailleur was not quite aligned & hydraulic brakes are pretty mushy - suspect they could have been bled better. Even with these draw backs, I can honestly say that this bike is really FUN to ride and opens up a bunch of roads I would have never considered before.

Best bang for the buck

I set out on my journey to find the perfect adventure bike that fit my needs and my budget. I scoured the internet, read all the reviews I could on pros and cons of Aluminum, Titanium, Steel, and Carbon. After months of research I ultimately ended on the Diamondback Trail Ultegra. it truly is a do it all drop bar adventure machine. I can throw slicks on and keep up with my roadie friends then the next day throw on a 42c gravel tire and decimate a 10p mile gravel race. The geometry is the perfect combination of comfortable yet sporty. The Aluminum frame is lightweight and with the bent stays / carbon fork it eats up road and gravel chattet. I see a 27.5 wheelset with 2.1inch tires in my future for bikepacking adventures! I can't recommend this bike enough!
