Wearing in rainy weather in Forks, Wa. I am 5'8 and wearing a lg over my OR jacket..Fit is perfect.Hood has easy one hand cinch. Brim has a moldable wire to hold whatever shap you want. Pockets are higj but not uncomfortable like some wading jackets are. Length is below my waist and keeps jeans dry. small inside pocket, big enough for a smartphone. A bit crinkly, but quiet while walking.

Bought this a couple months ago and wore it while raining but noticed some spots that's not waterproof.

For clarity: I buy gear strictly for personal use, and if I were seeking profit through resale, wouldn't I order multiple units rather than one perfectly fitted jacket? I sincerely hope REI will refine their verification algorithms to better distinguish between genuine customers and commercial buyers. Despite the checkout frustrations, this jacket earns my wholehearted recommendation. Not much to say about fabrics and waterproofing. After checking a lot of information, it is said that the new beta jacket has been upgraded for 80 days, which is more wear-resistant, and a search and rescue locator has been added. I feel that the new model is worth entering. In terms of workmanship, this one of mine is made in Canada. The bird logo embroidery is full and the glue is neatly pressed inside. I only found a thread on the shoulder. After all, the clothes are not works of art, and I am personally satisfied.In terms of size, my height is 182, my weight is 75, and the size I bought is M. Personally, except for the long sleeves, other sizes are very suitable. First of all, the length of the clothes is just right, and the back can be covered to the middle and lower position of the buttocks. The hem is very good whether it is worn normally or tightened. Secondly, the bust is also suitable. It's just right to wear thick fleece inside. atom heavyw can zip up and it won't be very crowded. cerium down will not work. It’s a pretty cool jacket, however I’m 5’10 and ordered a large jacket. It’s a little baggy on me but that’s ok! I would suggest looking up size measurements before making the same mistake.

Bought this jacket about a month ago for my first ever hiking in the swedish mountains. I was hyped buying my first ever gore-tex. The jacket itself is good, i love the fitting, the beautiful color and the light material but it had one downside, the DWR. When the rain came my jacket got soaked and didnt repel any water at all on some spots which made me dissapointed (even through i was still dry) because first time using it and DWR not working was not a good sign for me. Overall good jacket and horrible DWR.

My jacket is in the Verve color — a bright and vibrant option for the mountains. It makes you visually noticeable to your hiking partners and to rescuers if needed. I’d like to point out that this jacket is not only great for the mountains, but also works very well in an urban setting. It has a very comfortable hood and spacious pockets.

I’m 6’3, 190 with longer arms than the average person and the Medium fits well with a regular fit. I can put a lightweight hoody under it no problem and still fits/looks good. A large would be too big for me! I wear large in every other ARC’TERYX upper body clothing item for reference and a medium for pants/shorts. I have the 2016 beta lt version of this and it’s a large with a slim athletic fit. Quite a bit different fit in this jacket. I got colonic color and very cool.

No worries about getting soaked in the rain during rainy hikes. My Beta jacket is lightweight and very comfortable to use.
