Good little bike
I bought this bike a little over a month ago, my girlfriend uses it to commute to work about 17 miles one way. Her other bikes have suspension and this is her fist road bike, at first she was a bit concerned at how it rode. She said, "You feel everything on this bike." The bike has a carbon fork with a thru axle, but the tires are very firm, so bumps do transfer to the handle bars and the seat. After a few rides, she has left her other bike pretty much untouched. She is happy with how light her bike is and likes how much faster she is on it. The bike is an XS and with lights, slime self sealing tubes and other stuff we added for her commute it weighs in at just over 21 LBS, my Giant Defy Advanced comes at about 18 lbs and that is a full carbon bike. The Novara has the same brakes, and the same Shimano 105 group set except for the crank as my Giant Defy for a lot less money, I like that. Pretty well equipped bike right from the get go, and the thru axle is cake when it comes to removing the front wheel. The other thing she likes about the bike is the number of complements she gets from other people about how good this bike looks, and it really does look good. I know we bought the right bike because she talks about it all the time, and when she puts it away, she will pause for a moment and look back at it with a smile on her face.
My first road bike.
This is a great first bike. The only drawback is how challenging it is to get the front tire on. I don't know if it is me or this specific quick release, but I have the hardest time getting it to screw in.
WOW!
Great bike. Shifts well and the compact frame is good for short males as well. Catches eyes everywhere I go. Got my gear as well and was able to cycle 7.4 miles around my city and it took less than 25 min. I was even obeying traffic.
I Love this Bike so much!!!
