Awesome Portage Pack
I have used this portage pack on multiple 12-14 day Quetico Provincial Park canoe trips. I routinely carry loads of 50-75 lbs in this pack without any trouble. This portage bag has performed wonderfully across the toughest portages. It has the most comfortable harness system I've used. Thanks to handle straps sewn in the all right places it is very easy get in and out of the canoe event on slippery rocks. I highly recommend this pack if you are planning a long, portage rich trip.
One of the best canoe packs
I bought this a year ago. Great support for heavy and bulky loads: molded frame sheet, padding for the back, excellent formed belt and shoulder straps with load lifters, etc. Two top compression straps under the lid. Big external front pocket for a wet tarp or for storing quickly-needed items. I haven't used the side axe/pole pockets. The fabric sheds water, but you'll want to use a waterproof liner in the bag to keep your gear dry.
