Great sweater
An early season cold spell gave me a great opportunity to check out my new Scout Full Zip. It fits very comfortably and is very stylish. It fit well in all sleeve and torso lengths and had a sleek but not tight fit. I broke it in on an early morning walk with the dogs. The full-zip capacity allowed me to easily moderate the temperature. Great weight for layering too. The weekend provided me with the bonus of an early morning surf session. I got out of the water chilled and the sweater was perfect in warming me back up quickly. Looking forward to wearing this on hikes and my wife pointed out how nice it looks out on the town for dinner and a movie. Very versatile sweater.
Great Layer or Outer
I bought Ibex' 4th Street Boucle Cardigan a few years ago, and have worn it as both a sweater and middle layer when I don't want a collar crowding my neck. Based on how warm and comfortable the material is, I bought the Full Zip. It's light, has natural give, is very warm, and I use it for mild nights around camp to days when I need something that looks good at the office. Sleeves are too long, though, with a base and middle layer the extra fabric beneath pulls the sleeves up a little, and I've never stretched far enough to be able to have the sleeves ride up on me. That's the trade-off: either you have extra sleeve or not enough, and I'll go with extra.
Great for some
This full zip sweater is made of amazing material with perfect weight at a beautiful cut in the chest to base. The sleeves are irrationally too long (I considered having them professionally hemmed) and the arm holes are weirdly cut so that the material sucks into the pits. Unfortunate results for an amazing sweater. I'd try a size bigger, but they are no longer available. I'll be watching Ibex to see if they come out with an updated version.
