REI Co-op  Campwell Down Parka - Women's

This coat!!! It really does actually feel like a warm hug. I live in Cleveland Ohio winter get bitter. I walk my dog all year round sun, rain, snow 6 mo. of winter and I am very coming this coat it makes those walks comfortable and I no longer dread them. I have returned 2 coats before choosing and trying this one. I don't want to take it off I truly love it. The warmest! I will buy again from this company.

I’ve been ordering some REI branded jackets to find a good light one for a winter Europe trip. All of the shorter ones have been too short on me (5’10”) but are thin enough to pack down small. Unsatisfied, I tried this one and it’s great! I had seen it online and couldn’t tell if it would look dumpy on me, but it actually looks great! I appreciate the side zips and it does run about a size large, at least in the plus sizes (I usually wear 3x in REI jackets, a 2x fit very comfortably). Best of all, although it is a parka it isn’t bulky, inflexible and heavy like most are, and it seems to compress down better than my TNF 650 parka would. This one is my top pick.

I totally agree with one review that talked about the lint seen on the parka. I also love the shape, the feel and the warmth of this jacket, but the jacket looks worn and old due to this lint problem. I actually think that the stuffing from the inside of the jacket is coming out in the form of dust/lint and makes the jacket look gray and not pure black as it should. I keep rolling the lint off, but within an hour of wearing the jacket again, I would need the roller again especially under the arms and across the chest where there is some rubbing. I am bummed about this as I have tried many similar jackets this fall and this was my very favorite. Sad to be returning it.

I've bought numerous cheaper coats over the years, but winter came on strong this year, so I decided to finally get myself a nice winter coat. Wow, am I glad I chose this one! I was out for an hour last night in 20 degree temps and I was perfectly warm the entire time! It runs slightly large, in a good way. The fit is flattering though, not too puffy. I am 5'8" and the length is great. I like the tighter cuffs inside the sleeves. I have long arms but don't feel like the sleeves are too short; my gloves make up the gap. Best of all, it's 40% off right now! Well done on this coat, REI, and thanks for the great price!

I bought this coat a few years back. I like it. It's very warm so I mostly reserve it for the coldest winter days. My mom LOVES it. After years of repeatedly trying it on she asked me to order one for her. She also told my sister she should get one as well. Her friends have all tried it on. If you see an uptick in sales in Brooklyn its probably my mother convincing the whole neighborhood to buy this coat. She says its light, warm and has a great hood and "great hoods are hard to find."

I studied all the parkas online and I kept coming back to 'The Campwell' as none of these other jacketd had the many attributes of this coat I was looking for. After 2 weeks of serious study I bought it and 3 days later (today) Zap!! It was on my door. (a day early.) It was a devine experience almost trying it on. Olive green in a 2xl fit just beautifully. It was so special. I went right out in the rain to see the water beads up and runs off the fabric. It did. I really didn't believe it would be that water repellent. Awesome REI. This Coat is very comfortable. This one doesn't do the annoying crinkling sound when moving or the scratching/poking in the chin or neck with stiff material like some other winter coats I have. So far, it's been keeping me warm. I do live in Alaska, and for going on walks, or just to go out and about..Its perfect. What I really like about this coat is, the bottom sides has zipper and I am able to adjust the zip length to be more comfortable while sitting in my truck. Plus, it looks nice. I haven't washed it yet so unable to give feedback on washing and drying.

I have been looking for a warm coat for several years. I wanted one that was warm and covered my rear, but I didn’t want to look like the Stay Puff Marshmallow Man! This was on sale, I read the online reviews and went to the local REI to try on. For reference I am 5’3” and around 150 lb. I usually wear a medium. The medium was too big, small fit perfectly. I love the front inside zip pocket for my phone, the cuffs and surprisingly the hood. This coat is super warm and comfy. I do look rather puffy😄, but it works for what I need. Thanks REI.

I love this jacket! It's very warm, and feels really soft and luxurious. Heads up that it does run large - if you're between sizes I would definitely size down. (Disclosure that I'm an REI employee, but truly do love this jacket)

This jacket is so comfortable! The fit is great. The olive color is really wearable. The down fill is puffy, but light. It's nice and warm and will be great for cold night walks and trips around town. The hood is lined with a synthetic shearling material and is very cozy. I normally wear a size Large in REI brand and this fits true to size.
