Rated 4 out of 5 by from Just What I Needed This guide helped me save money and time because it directed me to the specifics of what I needed for my biking goals. The information was focused on pleasure biking and products and techniques specific to that. It helped me avoid purchases and misconceptions that are more specific to racing, distance, and hardcore enthusiasts. I did take issue with the nutrition section and wanted to rewrite the "why", but that was a professional knee-jerk reaction. The "what to eat" and what you don't need to buy was good enough for the general reader.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Common Sense Guide to Cycling Picked this up a couple weeks ago in store. Nice book to refer to now and again. Many intriguing ideas and helpful tips. For example I had my handlebars raised to relieve back strain, since I am not now and never will be a Tour de France contestant.
