I’ve tried a lot of Kuhl pant over the years but I fell in love with the fabric in their Renegade line. For me just the best pant for being outside in the heat of Atlanta summers. Then I discovered the Renegade Recon. Same fabric but now with an elastic waist and tapered leg. The elastic waist was a game changer for me. My weight tends to fluctuate a little up and down these are forgiving. Super comfortable for those long shifts. The taper was a little aggressive, however. But now! REI offers this same great pant in Kuhl’s “klassik” cut with a little more room below the knee so they don’t look like joggers or (gasp) skinny pants. The thing is, I can’t find these on Kuhl’s home page. No mention. Is it an REI exclusive? Is Kuhl’s website drastically out of date? Who knows. I’m just happy I stumbled upon them. My new favorite summer pant.
Nice fabric a little on the small side. I'm 5'11 and 178lbs and I bought the 33x32. The length is good but the waist is a little on the small side and the crotch is a little tight as well. None of my other pants are 34 waist but in hindsight I should have bought a 34x32. Maybe they will stretch out with use.
Nice pants, seem to be well made, however, after one wash in cold water, dried on delicate cycle, both pair shrank in length. One pair an inch and a half, and the other an inch and a quarter. Returned both pair.
I've had a few pairs of the slimmer fit version of this isn't but I definitely like the more open fit of this style more.
