Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great job of not slipping but horrible smell This mat really holds me hands and feet in place during warm yoga. It has a nice firm touch and light enough to haul around. I've used the Black Mat from Manduka and this one does a better job of not having me slip. Keep in mind I don't sweat profusely so I'm not sure how this will perform in extremely sweaty situations. The only con I have so far is the strong* plastic smell. I've read other reviews online and people weren't kidding. I had to let this mat air out in my garage for 3 days and then wash several times with vinegar and water before the scent was acceptable for use around other people.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice feel, great grip Have used this mat for about 2 months now. For most daily home practice, I use the Manduka Black mat but purchased this to use for classes and travel. Overall, it is a very good mat - nice feel, nice cushion, terrific grip, easy to pack and travel with. Have read that some people find the rubber smell too offensive - yes, initially there is a rubber smell when first rolled out but it dissipates within a few days and I did not find the smell overwhelming nor terribly offensive. The smell was similar to new bike tires - and no reason, IMO, to not purchase. purchase this mat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It smells like real I keep seeing bad reviews because of the way the mat smells.. I love the way it smells! It smells like rubber, not some fake plastic like the cheap mats are made from. And it is kind of heavy, but only compared to the cheap mats. I've had my mat for at least a year, maybe two (and the smell does fade drastically over time) . I go to class at least twice a week. I wish I was ready to buy a new mat just for a change of scenery, but this one is still great. I don't do hot yoga, so I can't make a recommendation regarding heavy sweating. It is quite sticky enough for my typical Vinyasa style workout

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Returned I was really excited about this yoga mat but unfortunately it had a few major drawbacks. After giving it a fair shot, I returned it. I think the biggest issue was the smell. On the label, and as other reviews state, the mat needs to be aired out to get rid of the strong smell. I did that for a couple days and used it multiple times, but the smell just didn't go away and was nauseating in class. Other issues - too heavy for me to carry easily and during a very hot and sweaty class I found myself slipping a lot, despite being anti-slip "even in the sweatiest of conditions".

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Sticky but STINKS! Hard to use because the smell is so bad. Can't leave it in the car because then the car stinks! I leave it rolled out in room we don't use and clean after each use...others have said it gets better in about 6 months! Hope I make it! Wish I didn't buy it!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible Smell I bought this for my girlfriend a few months ago, she was very happy with it. However when she tried to use the mat, the smell just made it impossible, it REALLY smells horrible

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not for Hot Yoga I had used eKo lite for about 3 months. After a month summer break, I could not use my mat anymore, because it's become very slippery. I tried to clean very well, but it didn't help.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Holds your pose This is a heavy and sticky mat. No slipping on this mat. My main issue with this mat is what helps hold a pose. It's very hard to clean. It won't brush off with a cloth (dust and lint). A wet cloth doesn't cut it either. Best I can do is vacuum it and then clean with damp cloth. I wish I would have bought a lighter easier to clean mat (would have been cheaper as well).
