I have the other color in Hilma Running Wildbound trail-running shoes and love them. The fit, the feel, the stability. I already own five (six?) pairs of Hilma Running's "Everywhere." Used to walk long distances in clogs, but these changed how I feel about "sneakers." Had to buy this color as well before they sell out!
After seeing SO many ads claiming these shoes are made for women by women and they know exactly how to fit a woman's foot...I was so hopeful. Unfortunately I ended up being extremely disappointed. First, the shoes LOOK as if they are different sizes- like I got a fit 2 and fit 3 instead of two of the same. Once on, they feel that way as well. I have a high arch and a wide foot but not so wide I always require a wide shoe. I've had many regular width shoes, like Hokas, Nikes, Brooks, and Salomons that fit well. But these feel like a narrow shoe. Despite their advertising on social media that brags about understanding feet, it appears they only understand narrow feet. This shoe does not fit a foot with a high arch nor anyone with moderate to wide feet. Last, the right foot has an insole that is much thinner than the left and doesn't even come to the end of the shoe. There's a gap between the end of the insole and the inside toe of the shoe. For almost $200 I would expect a little better quality control. And for all their hype on social media I would expect sizing to be closer to advertised.
These are amazing right out of the box! The Fit Two is perfect for me--rivals Topo's with the generous toe box but form fitting heel area. But I like them much better than Topo because of the cushioning, comfort, 7mm heel drop, and style. You can tell that this is a well made shoe. I have hyper mobility and instability in my joints, and these provide just what I need. I was wearing an 8.5 wide in Brooks, and I like the 9 Fit Two in these. I highly recommend!
I use these shoes for everyday wear and walking. I absolutely love them. I have high arches and really feel supported when I am wearing these. I definitely recommend.
