Immediate Relief!

I’m experiencing a tendonitis flare up on both Achilles and it’s been frustrating as my old go-to shoes weren’t helping much, but these Topos have been great. This is the first pair of Topos I’ve tried but I noticed right away when I put them on to just walk around inside the house that I’d be keeping them. It wasn’t pulling on the tendons. My physical therapist won’t let me run quite yet but they’ve been great for walking and hiking. I am hoping to do a bit of trail running starting next week now that both of my Achilles seem to be settling down. These shoes give me a bit of hope that I’ll be able to try a bit of running strides again. I like that the shoe has a roomy toe box without the heel slipping. It has good grip on the tread. I find them true to size.

Nice, but fits different than other ones.

Great cushioned orthotic shoe; however, it does not fit the same as another TOPO, (Ultraadventure4), where my size is 7.5, but with this one, I had to go up half a size to 8 to fit. Also, the toebox is not as boxy as the version I'm used to (Ultraadventure4), so tighter fit.

Knee Pain Gone — My Go-To for Trails + Daily Walks

I’ve been really happy with these shoes. I originally bought them to use on the trails, but also wanted something comfortable enough for everyday use walking my dog—and they’ve been great for both. My previous shoes were completely worn down (basically no tread left), and I had started noticing some knee pain, which I suspect was from the lack of support. After wearing these for a couple of weeks, that discomfort has noticeably improved, which has been a huge relief. They feel supportive without being bulky, and I like that they’re versatile enough to go from trail to street without feeling out of place. I’m especially excited to bring them on a trip to Spain this summer—they seem like the kind of shoe that can handle both hiking and long days exploring towns and cities. Overall, a really solid, comfortable, and practical choice.

Too tight

I love my Topo Pursuit 1 and 2s but these were a big fail! They are too tight below the big toes. They were pinching my foot together. The ends of the toes toward the front were okay. But these are definitely narrower than prior versions so I will have to look elsewhere. SO DISAPPOINTED.

I am a happy customer

I bought a pair of Pursuit 2 shoes due to problems with calluses on my big toes. The Pursuit 2 solved that problem and had excellent grip, were durable, and I really like the zero drop. i had a minor issue with heel lockdown and I did not like the gaiter attachment on the Pursuit 2, but the updates to with the Pursuit 3 eliminates those problems. I really liked the Pursuit 2 but the small changes they made to the Pursuit 3 make this shoe really excellent. They updated the midsole for a softer, more responsive, and lighter ride. They increased lateral and medial sidewalls to make them more stable. Heel lockdown is better. The changed to a "universal" hook-and-loop attachment system for gaiter attachment (works great with my dirty girl gaiters). They shoes are lightweight and durable zero drop trail shoes with Megagrip soles and a toe box. I wear these shoes on all kinds of trails and rugged cross-country routes. I am a happy customer.

Good trail shoes for PF and Achilles tendonitis

I wish we could give half stars as these would be 4.5 stars. Not a perfect 5 but very close. I’ve been struggling with Achilles tendonitis this winter and spring and finally found this pair of shoes which seems to help and I’m back to trail runs! Even when walking they help me from stepping on my heel too much and I’m just relieved. The majority of the support is meant for a mid foot strike. Thats where the half star comes in, a little more cushion at the heel would be great as long as the back of the shoe doesn’t come all the way up to rub on my Achilles. I ask for that as most trail runners I know do end up walking a bit up steeper hills. The grip is good for trails, I’ve gotten them wet and they seem to drain water quickly but it did take them a bit longer to dry out after getting wet. I like the larger toe box that Topo seems to have. I have the dark green color and I was so happy as this last year’s trail shoes styles all seemed to be white or very light colors. I didn’t understand that as trail shoes immediately get dirty and the lighter colors just looked dirty. The dark green is great as I quickly got mud and water on them. I’ve put quite a few miles on them this last month and they still seem to be holding up well without signs of wear.
