Comfortable and Rugged

The most comfortable trail shoe I’ve ever worn. However, I mostly walk versus run trails in these. Over 60 miles of trails and no complaints. I’d never had Altras before, but ended up loving the wide toe box. (Foot type: narrow feet and high arches)

Lone peak perfection

I have a wide foot and the standard width is perfect. I purchased the Lone Peak 9’s to go on a mission trip outside of the country. These shoes were amazingly comfortable, and kept my feet dry. Lots of walking, and my feet were not tired at the end of the day.

Great shoe-not waterproof

I've worn Altras for 10+years and recently started using them for more varied terrain in hiking, rather than just trail running. My current pair of waterproof Lone Peaks is about 8 months old and is already lost its waterproofing. I had good luck with them the first few months but now if any moisture gets on the fabric on the top, it starts leaking through. I would call these water resistant and, as lots of other folks have complained about at other outfitters, not waterproof.

Absolutely would buy again

Wore these while traveling to Scotland and kept me very dry with the rain. Very comfortable and love the color.

Great!

I have many pairs of Astra trail shoes and boots. All are 8. 5, except a few of my GTX ones are a 9. I tried an 8. 5 in these (both the 9 and 9+) and they were too big! I ended up keeping the 9+ in size 8 and they feel perfect, right out of the box. I could not tell any difference between the 9 and 9+ as far as feel and I was only going to keep one so I can't say if there is any difference in function. Can't wait to put them to the test!

Lone peak trail runners

These are my 4th pair of lone peaks. This newest pair feels so good on my feet that I realize my others are pretty worn out. I worry that the newest year model will not feel as good but these are great.

Eased my toe pain

Have tried many shoes with zero/low drop to address pain in my big toe joint. These have been the best - better than Xero or Topo -and fits my orthodic. I am thrilled!!
