Salomon  Ultra Glide 4 Trail-Running Shoes - Women's

100% happy with this shoe and my new favorite. One of the most comfortable fits and even though it has maximum cushion, it feels low to the ground and stable during my trail runs. Must get additional colors before they are sold out.

I bought these because i signed up to an ultra marathon on a whim and they were the only ones that would arrive on time! They had great grip on the muddy grassy terrain, and kept my feet surprisingly dry considering they aren’t gortex, I would definitely size up half a size if I would have had time to return them and get another pair, they have a lovely wide toe box but they are a little short, you can feel that your big toes are always touching the end and then this is obviously worse on down hills. I would definitely recommend these though as they pulled through for me when I needed them too, just wish I’d been able to get half a size up!

I've worn these a few times on my regular redwood trail loop (5 miles, ~1k elevation gain, uneven terrain) and they're very comfortable. They're a bit more off the ground than I'm used to but they've been mostly fine--though not sure I'd recommend to someone with ankle instabilities. The cushion has been good for the steep declines since I have some hip issues. Overall solid shoe, but I might go back to more technical ones once these are done. Also, for any aesthetic people out there, I have the pink ones (shadow gray / tapioca) and they are absolutely filthy from the trails. I don't mind it but just an FYI for those who might.

TLDR: these are an excellent pair of trail shoes. Most of the stuff I run is 6-14mi, on moderately technical trails with 100-120’ vertical gain per mile. My other pair of trail shoes are the Norda 002s, and I bought these because I wanted a pair that would do better in wet conditions, as I’ve found Dyneema doesn’t breathe very well. So far I’ve run 100 trail miles on these and they’re still in great shape. I’ve worn these in all kinds of weather without any issues: 30* with ice on the trails, rainstorms on the AT, and in the summer heat and humidity. The shoes have gripped well in all conditions and still look and feel very fresh. I’m actively resisting the urge to buy and stockpile a second pair.

They made the shoe wider! Yes! Now I feel stable on rocky terrain. I love the shoe. Only downside is the lacing system. I prefer regular shoe laces. But I can live with it. I am trying to find the perfect ultra shoe. I love the aero glide for road and I wanted a shoe similar to that for trail. Drop for aero glide is 8mm drop for this shoe is 6 mm. Close enough. I will wear this shoe for my next 100K. I also wear an Ankle brace lace up one due to left ankle instability. I have rolled it so many times the ligaments are so loose in the ankle. I don't wear the brace most of the time but with long efforts I do due to fatigue. I can fit my brace in this shoe easily and it's comfortable.

Got these for my usual hiking and trail runs which were starting to become difficult due to not wearing the proper shoes. After researching, decided to try these and I am happy with this purchase! They are so comfortable, supports very well and the grip is amazing. I am able to hike up steep hills much easier and my trail runs seem so much easier with these shoes. Definitely recommend!

So far I was able to run 2 trail races in these and they were perfect. For a higher stack shoe, they did great with uneven terrain, roots, etc. The most comfortable shoe I’ve tried for trail. True to size for me.

Ultra Glides have often been a favorite of mine and this update has been amazing. I looked forward to appreciating the relieveSPHERE technology for longer runs, but have been pleasantly surprised with how quickly into runs I noticed the benefit and have really enjoyed it for shorter runs as well! The cushioning in this shoe is also very comfortable without making the shoe feel unstable. The bottom of the shoe feels grippy and the lugs have provided good traction on some the wetter trails following a few good rains. This is quite a versatile shoe. Highly recommend.
