Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of the best freeze dried meals ever. By far one of the best freeze dried meals ever. You can eat it on its own and it is delicious. You put this in a tortilla with any sort of other ingredients and you have something that would be restaurant worthy. This is going to be my new standby for freeze dried meals. I usually have zero appetite being at altitude and have a hard time wanting to eat. This will make the other guys jealous if I put this burritos and brought salsa or chicken.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from DEE-LISH! Took backpacking, but I would actually eat this on any old day as a "back up" meal. Savory, creamy, could actually see real pieces of fresh looking bright green cilantro and bright bell peppers. Brought a tortilla, but it would have actually been fine without it. The MJF line of foods seem high quality, nutritionally complete, and delicious. I will buy this again!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from MaryJane, are you single? The bare burrito was just as good as a real burrito (without the meat unfortunately) in the best mexican restaurants. A little pricey, but I am already looking forward to buying more of these. Absolutely delicious. A little bigger serving would be nice, but still a decent meal.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Shocked How Good - Just Add Tortilla First ever five start backpacking meal. Four stars without a tortilla, five stars with a tortilla, which can be easily grilled over a backpacking stove. Try jazzing up with hot sauce packets, pico de gallo packets, or parmesan cheese packets. Tried with Hickory Farms smoked summer sausage and without, can't go wrong either way.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Backpacking Food This has become one of my favorite backpacking foods. Carry in two tortillas and the Bare Burrito for some good eating. I do have to add some hot sauce to brighten it up a bit, but that might be more of a product of being a native of New Mexico where everything needs hot sauce. The serving size is perfect too, just enough for two good well stuffed burritos.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tastes very good Thickens up nicely so it doesn't leak out of bottom of tortilla wrap and is very tasty. In the store I didn't see that it was vegetarian, so I was a little bummed when I pulled it out of my bear can, but once I took a bite I couldn't have been happier. Excellent and would definitely buy this again for my next backpacking trip.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stupid tasty In all seriousness, I actually crave this on any normal given day. So delicious, hearty and satisfying. Thickens up to a perfect consistency. Like others said, bring a tortilla or two and it's just divine. Very filling meal.

I am trying to find food for someone with celiac disease that is suitable for extended wilderness tripping (light and will not spoil quickly.) Items listed as gluten-free , but which have a warning may contain traces of wheat are dangerous for a celiac.
