Fan Makes Tent Camping More Enjoyable

Sometimes when camping in a tent, especially during the summer months, there just isn't enough air flow to keep the inside of the tent cool at night. This fan helps with that. While it doesn't cool the air, it does keep it circulating, and that is usually enough to make it more comfortable after the tent flap is zipped up. The fan is a bit large (and heavy) for a 4-person tent, but it seems to work well, mostly stays out of the way, and is fairly quiet. It also has a built-in stand for setting up on a picnic table.

We bought two of these fans to help with comfort while camping in warm weather. We returned them for a few reasons. The main one was the way they stand or should I say don't stand. The tiny stand does not hold the fan up at all. With the batteries in it is way too heavy for the stand. The stand also is very stiff to move and seems like it would break eventually. The magnetic clip to hold it to a tent didn't work either because it was so heavy. The fan itself was ok with soft foam blades but with the central light the blades weren't very large and therefore didn't move much air. It was better than nothing but only just.

Small but powerful

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What a great fan! As soon as we got batteries (not included) and turned this fan on, it was a dream. It is very quiet yet very powerful. The blades are made if foam, so no missing fingers! Don't let the foam blades fool you, they're just as powerful as plastic blades. The light on the front is amazingly bright as well. It has two settings, so if you don't want it near qs bright its suitable as well. The fan can also be fashioned to the top of a tent with a clip or very powerful magnet. This is a great little camping fan.

My new Coleman brand lighted tent fan

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Coleman brand fan is a product that I love because it is super useful, easy to use and also has a perfect size to take anywhere you go camping or do outdoor activities both day and night because in addition to the fan comes a light included which is super important for the night. It has a support to help keep it firm and the fan blades are made of a super soft material which prevents accidents with the fingers, needs four batteries and lasts approximately 10 hours at the maximum level on and about 30 hours at the low level. I recommend it is the perfect excuse to go camping with the family.

Works Great for camping

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this about 3 weeks ago and it's great to use while camping. We used the fan while sleeping at night and some during the day. This works great for cooling down a small area. We used in a camper for about 3 days. This is battery operated so I would recommend using chargeable batteries, it will save money in the long run. I would definitely recommend CPX 6 Lighted Tent Fan with Stand for any outdoor adventures.

Easy to Install

Love the concept and it was easy to install, but was not as powerful as I had hoped. The stand was not great to set up on tent floor.

Coleman camping fan and light

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very satisfied with this fan/light. I had a little difficulty setting it up in the tent because the positioning of the magnet needs to be precise, but once I figured it out I had no issues except for it not coming with the rechargeable battery adapter

Didn't Blow Us Away

Having a central light and air movement greatly improves tent camping in hot weather. We used this in our blackout tent (thicker material and less venting mesh) and it helped. The light is adequate and has two brightness settings. The fan was a little disappointing. Power source is either 4 batteries or a coleman rechargeable power pack, but i wasn't able to find it online anywhere. Coleman seems to be experimenting with interchangeable power source devices every couple years so unless you go all in at one time you don't have time to build up a collection that uses the same battery packs

Cools off tent well, batteries could last longer

I bought 2 of these to attach to the roof of my 10x14 tent for my wife, 4 kids, and me. They were a little pricey, but I was given gift cards, so I didn't feel too bad. We left on all night and the batteries lasted a little longer than 2 nights. Then replaced and got 2 more nights. We also used the lights for a little while before we went to sleep. They attached to the roof of the tent easily with the magnets. I was able to reach through the roof vents to set the magnets on the outside. They were pretty heavy, but did not stress the tent too much. I just made sure to place next to points where the tent attached to the frame.

Better than sweating...Barely.

In theory, I love the idea of having a rechargeable tent fan to keep the air moving in my tent. This just isn't the right fan. Ignoring my gut instinct to fail fast, I kept this fan and bought another battery pack. The thinking was "sure, the battery runs down completely after about 4 or 5 hours. It then takes 8 hours to recharge. I'll have the spare ready to go for the second night. Ooookay. Well, the battery life is only part of the problem. This fan is heavy, the base can't keep it upright on a tent floor, and it's silly heavy. Oh, that not enough? Give it a day or two and the wonky foam fan blades will start buzzing and grinding against the thick plastic frame. Sleep is for suckers, right? Well so is this fan. Run away. Run serpentine! Just don't buy this piece of junk.

Not Sturdy & Heavy for Tent Roof

This fan was super disappointing. When using it outside of the tent, I had to get a water jug to prop it up because the built-in kick stand would not support the weight (I bought a prior one that I returned for this reason… thought I had gotten a bad version, but apparently this is how they are). It is so heavy with batteries that we didn’t feel comfortable having it above us in the tent since it was very windy and the tent was moving a bit in the wind. Air output is decent, but not amazing. There are better products out there.
