Shocking
A shock cord in a main tent pole broke after 18 years, I was shocked. I bought this and was shocked at the low price. I replaced the broken cord shockingly easily.

Super disappointed this doesn’t work for Half Dome
I was expecting this to work for the Half Dome. This is 1/8” and is clearly too big to work. I even tried to force it and it wouldn’t assemble because the knots you have to tie in the cord are way too thick to fit inside the tent pole. Does rei not sell 1/16” cord? I sure as heck couldn’t find it.

Replace it all!

I've had a tent for about 5 years now and I haven't been happy with the poles. Recently one of the shock cords broke on one of the sets of poles, so I used this to replace it. And that tent pole is way better than before. I'm going to replace ALL the shock cord on my tent poles from the factory with this real soon! Should you do that? Depends on your tent pole... but If you're the slightest bit unhappy with what you have, I'd consider it.

Works for Half Dome

I saw one of the top reviews was that this doesn't work for the half dome because the cord is too thick. That review is not accurate. This cord is thicker but I just easily replaced two of the four poles using this 7' cord. You'll need to buy two of these to replace all four legs and possibly a third of you want to replace the smaller center segment. (Standard half dome, not sure about plus size.)

Decent replacement for Chaco laces

My Chaco shoes had elastic laces that were sewen into the shoes at the base of the tongue. When they lost their elasticity I had to cut them off and replace them with this product. Problem solved.

Bought this to replace the worn out cord on my16 year old North Face Borealis pack. Fits perfectly and was easy to install. Nice product!

Saving money

Used as shock cord on my hammock rain fly to relieve stress during high winds and foul weather ( 1’ lengths tied into the guy lines) works great!)

Help for a good night's sleep.

The product was a quick fix for a tent pole. The new shock cord will keep my tent supported in all conditions.

What Can I Say It Works

So I grabbed this in store on an impulse buy with the idea that I'd use it in all kinds of things. Well so far I've done one quick project with it and it works. I made some elastic trekking pole retainers for my granite gear crown VC 60. I'm sure you can get better, lighter, stuff online elsewhere but this worked out just fine

Good for securing light gear.

II used this with some hooks I had to secure some light gear in the back of SUV. Light stuff that wasn't going to fly around and hurt any one. I did want to find it where I left it.
