One great little pump!

I’m very impressed with this little air pump. It’s small but can do the job I need. I use it for camping and fishing tubes. I like the light and pump both. I wasn’t aware that both modes are adjustable to higher levels. I like it so much I got two and giving the extra pump to my sister for blowing grandkids toys. Hope you like it too.

READ the manual! Yes, really!

I have another small, powerful battery-powered "pump" tool that works well, but this caught my eye as it's even smaller . . . and I would readily return the Flextail if it didn't perform. And it does! It works very well and I used it multiple times during a group camping session over 4 days to help others fill up their inflatable gear. Never used the light but it's VERY bright, so maybe next time. Very lightweight and small, always a plus for camping gear. There's another even smaller Flextail available, but with less features and power. So why only 4 stars? Well, the power switch (labeled P) is a bit goofy until you read the owner's manual. At first I thought I'd received a dud product. It wouldn't turn on. So read the manual. It requires a couple of prods to start up, not just one. Seems a bit like overkill to require reading the manual to be able to turn it on when it only has two functions (power and light). The power switch is also recessed, so it would actually be difficult to accidentally turn it on . . . so a fussy bit of design, but I get the logic. My other small air pump just covers the power switch with a rubber tab and it's never accidentally powered up while packed with my gear.

it worked once, then got a pebble in the fan area.

Worked once, then got a pebble in the fan area so it's useless until I can try and get it out. I will have to return it anyways as the bottom light doesn't work at all. I have to triple clock the light power to get the side light on. Worked well when it did work however.

Fills a niche, worth the price

Initial impression is amazing. Bought it to inflate my packraft - because let’s be honest, blowing those things up with their “stuff sacks” kills my joy of using them. This inflated my boat in maybe a minute? Shockingly powerful and moves a lot of air for its size. Was strong enough to inflate my boat without any “top off” blowing from me, but larger or more stiff inflatables might need it. If the battery lasts and I don’t lose it, it’s fully worth the price to me.

This pump will not disappoint!

Upgraded to this Flextail Pump as my other one was slow and not very effective, particularly at exhausting air from our air mattresses. This one is amazing - fast and efficient. At least 5 times faster. Holds a charge well. Well worth the money.!

Great, but skip the light

Great inflation, but the light kills the battery fast. I'd recommend getting a normal one and using a headlamp when camping.
