What?
I bought this today since I am going camping. When I got home I wanted to try it out on my fold up chair and did literally 4 brushes and the handle broke off! I saw made in China before I bought it but though since rei was selling it that it would be fine. Nope.
Must have for the OCD camper
We have a 6 year old and she and her kiddo friends come tramping through our two room tent with reckless/dirty abandon. Prior to laying my head down at night on a sleeping pad covered in outdoor detritus, I give the place a quick sweep up. What's best about this whisk (and perhaps isn't explained particularly well in the write up) is that the bristles are quite stiff and provide the push necessary to get all manner of debris moving in the right direction. Keep a tidy home, keep a tidy tent.
Does it's intended job!
I had been looking for one of these for quite awhile in many different stores...I knew they existed, just couldn't find one until I happened to walk by one at REI! It's just a small version of a regular brush/dustpan that is conveniently sized for camping and such. Does what it's intended to do! Post-sweep, I usually take a baby wipe or cleaning wipe to the tent floor to get any leftover reside, but this gets most of it up.
Handy car-camping tool
Tired of all the tracked in bits of stuff when you go camping? Not enough room in to use an actual broom (assuming there's even room in the car for one)? Get one these handy little miniature broom and dustpan sets. I wouldn't want to clean a whole campsite with one, but it's just right for getting rid of the worst of the dirt, leaves, and needles that get tracked into the tent.
What a life saver
Check it out! I was at REI with my lady and she was all like “ohhhh we should get this! There’s so much dirt in the tent! Isn’t it cute!” Anyways now it’s been sitting underneath the back seat of car for 3 months haven’t used it once.
What's There To Say?
It's a little broom and dust pan. It does what a little broom and dust pan do, namely sweeping dust into the pan. It's also $5 and weighs nothing. What it could do, I suppose, is save you from having to replace a $200 sleeping pad that got punctured by a small, sharp rock inside your tent. Yours broke? It's $5, buy another.
Not as pictured
I've had one of these (as pictured) for many years. It's been great tool for camping. I received a new one today and was most disappointed. The bristles are black, much thinner and weaker than shown on the website.
Mini doesn't begin to describe!
Broom is 4" wide. Would literally take me an hour to sweep out our tent. Will return.
Great gear
I have been looking for one of these and thankful I found this at REI.
Not A Very Good Product
The first brush I bought started losing bristles almost on day one. The only reason I bought another is because it's all they carry at REI and it was convenient.
