Not a replacement for the Tecnica Plasma

I have the predecessor Tecnica Plasmas that suffered from durability issues, (tears at the flex point and tread wear). I was hoping these would be a re-design to fix those flaws as the plasmas are the most comfortable shoes I had. Unfortunately they changed much more with the Magma. Lost the integrated tongue, lost the unique lacing system and ended up with a shoe that seems way scaled back. I found these to run a bit smaller than the plasma and they felt much more stiff. The lack of stores offering the custom molded fit is a negative because at try on the soles and heels are stiff and hard. The shoes are attractive and for someone looking for a shoe that “looks” like a technical style shoe that they just want to wear around town it may be a good solution - but if you were hoping for plasma 2.0, this is not it. Ended up returning.
