They're some of the most comfortable hiking shoes I've ever had the pleasure of walking in. They're attractive and the color scheme (maroon/black/tan) works surprisingly well. The sole is grippy in all the right ways and provides an interesting 'massage' on even pavement until you get used to it. Unfortunately, the 'Premium pigskin lining' is one of the loudest materials I've ever wrapped around my feet. Three different kinds of socks are all the same. Barefoot is the worst. I slipped them on to take out the garbage and was loudly foot-flatulent the whole time. If you stim to noise, skip these.
