I've had these shoes for two months and worn them on hikes and as an everyday shoe. They are really comfortable (with a superfeet insole). The uppers and soles are sturdy. However, stitching between the collar lining and the goretex is already coming apart. I have serious concerns about their longevity and would not recommend them.
Very happy with my Asolo Space GV shoes. I have a narrower than average foot and the extended lacing allows me to tighten and enhance lateral support. More supportive than the various Merrell Moab's I've been wearing for years. To diminish the "bowling shoe" look, I dyed the tongue to match the toe protection (wide black permanent marker). Will add photo if possible.
Put these on my feet and it felt like I had already worn them for 100 miles and were perfectly broken in. As time has gone on and hundreds of miles later wearing them hiking, backpacking, and as an every-day shoe (as a HS Chemistry teacher) they are one of the most comfortable and sturdy light hikers I've ever owned. They put the ubiquitous Merrell Moab to shame in terms of fit and quality.
Broke these in for a few weeks around town before a R2R2R hike in the Grand Canyon (42+ miles, 20,000 ft+ of elevation change with a 35 pound pack). Paired them with some Darn Tough socks. ZERO blisters. Great traction. Comfortable. No complaints, but would recommend cutting the shoe strings. I would also make sure to break them in, because the toungue is long and you need to break it in, too. Otherwise, I could see blister risks on the top of the foot.
I just received these today, (that arrived several days early), and tried them on immediately. I have very narrow heels and struggle finding medium width shoes that fit properly. The title of this post says it all! To me, they are a medium width that can adjust for narrow and medium widths. It’s all about the lacing system on them. They are true in length and a unique design, and will be tested shortly in the Med. I’ll come back with a tested review. I may sleep in them tonight.
I’ve worn the Asolo men’s Space GV shoes for about two years for daily wear as well as 8 mile walks in varied terrain and weather such as Sicily and Scandinavia. They are very comfortable and waterproof and durable with good traction and support. I cannot recall ever having a more comfortable shoe than this.
Well made, soft suede upper, sturdy build. Too narrow for sizing, causing blisters on pinky toes.
Took 2 weeks to deliver. Love the shoes but waited much to long to receive.
