Love the way these feel, but they lack durability. I had a couple small holes after a single wear and wash, which is quite disappointing granted I usually have great luck with OR apparel. The fit is a little larger than I expected as well. I have a 28 inch inseam, and the size small bottoms are more like a 32 inch inseam, so I have to cuff them to reduce bunching. Overall, I like the way these feel and the odor management is great after wearing nightly on a recent 6 day bikepacking trip. I’m going to notify OR via email about the holes & we’ll see how they respond.
For how thin it is, this offers a nice first layer to regulate moisture wicking when layering clothes. I’ve used them for snowboarding and hiking in colder climates and found they work great and are very comfortable. It’s not the softest material but I personally don’t mind the texture.
Really like the improvement to this base layer with the addition of the merino blend. It feels better next to skin and I think it actually moves moisture and dries faster with the merino compared to the other OR base layers I have.
Lightweight yet warm, and avoids picking up odors after being worn a couple days in a row. I picked this up for a 6 day backcountry trip and it served me well in 40-50 degree weather.
Great fit. Warm. Comfortable after full day of skiing. Would definitely buy again.
Works well under uniforms. Wasn’t too thick to hinder the fit.
Turns to powder when wet. It is unwashable, even by hand.
