The grid fleece on these bottoms is warm and cozy, but gave me an allergic reaction on my legs that kept me up all night itching for 3 days. I had washed them before wearing with the same detergent I use for all my clothing, so something about this fabric is an irritant. I own a lot of base layers and this is the first time I had any sort of allergy to a material.
This base layer has a very nice grid pattern on the inside. The Thyme color is also quite appealing. The issue is that the manufacturer for some reason drastically shorted the fabric in the butt area. I am not a huge person, but my butt really doesnt fit in these without slipping down everytime i bend down. A size up would have resulted in a baggy fit. An extra 1-2" in the butt would have made all the difference with these. Time will tell...These may be a future return if this annoys me enough.
The ankle cuff seam is way too thick, it will be super uncomfortable inside a ski boot. Returned to REI.
