Not pure merino, but super comfy and warm.
I don’t know whether I bought these without fully reading the description or the info wasn’t there, but here’s what I wish I’d known before ordering these: They are very thin, and not pure merino. They strongly resemble Spandex. They are a 35/35/30 blend of bamboo (rayon), polyester, and merino wool. However... after wearing them through a full day, I’ve got to say I am very happy with them. They actually kept me very warm and comfortable under my drysuit kayaking, yet weren’t overwhelming wearing under regular pants walking around and driving. Normally I’d be in a hurry to get out of my layers when I get home, but these are so comfy I’m gonna keep them on until I go to bed. I went with XL after realizing I’m borderline between L and XL. These are stretchy enough that I think they’ll still fit fine if I lose some weight, or god forbid if I gain any also. I just wish they didn’t seem to be sold out in my size; I’d grab another pair.

very fragile
I knew these would be a little then based on a few reviews I read, but I didn't expect them to be so fragile. They tore literally the first time I put them on. I was trying them on for fit when I received them and they tore mid thigh. I will be returning them. I have no use for a pair of long underwear that is as fragile as panyhose.

Easily Tears

These are a comfortable and warm base layer but the fabric is too fragile and tears easily. I have had them for about a year and gotten out the needle and thread to repair them over a dozen times. I wouldn't recommend them.

Does the job well

Kept we warm and as dry as possible during a snow backpacking trip in the grand canyon and during winter bike commutes. Looking forward to when I can break them out again.

Perfect layer under ski pants for snowy adventures

These are thin and lightweight but warm and soft. The fabric also feels durable. I bought a size medium for my boyfriend who in clothing wears a small mens normally, but doesn't like tight base layers. He's a 30-31" waist. The medium fits perfectly and is not loose at all. These are highly recommended.

Favorite Base Layer Bottoms

I bought these a month ago and I’m currently hiking the AT. These are now my go-to base layer due to its construction, durability and versatility. I will order another pair. The are so light to pack in my backpack!

terrible durability

pretty comfy, but terrible durability. Tried patching all the holes first, but there were so many holes in a short time I gave up and bought better base layer pants
