Real great! Watch out for how long they hold up

These merino under layers are awesome, I absolutely love them. Only thing is that I wish they would hold up a bit better. After about 6-12 months, they look like the pictures attached - still strong everywhere except the bottom area which I would say is the weakest area structurally

Very nice, not too tight

Sometimes when I wear medium boxer briefs it can feel a bit tight in the waist. I ordered the medium size here and they fit perfect. Not too tight and not too loose. They are very soft and just the right amount of material that I know I will be warm. I love the 3/4 length because they come up to about mid calf and stay out of my ski boots. I'm definitely excited to be wearing quality base layer.

Warm but Tight on the Waist

It kept me warm with my snow pants as my only other layer. Comfortable when the waist is properly stretched out. Better for skiers that don't like to many layers down to the feet. My only con is the waist for the L size is a little tight if you are near the 36-37in on the waist. I had to really stretch it out in order for it to be comfortable. Maybe order a size bigger if you're close to the 36in waist. I would give this 4.5 stars since it is very warm just tight.

Have two pair!

I find these are perfect for cold-er weather without feeling overly "stuffy". These worked perfectly for me during long winter hikes. Kept me comfy but did not feel "over heated". Soft and comfortable next to the skin. Highly recommend!

Great material, sagging fit

Great material; Smartwool's Merino 250 is really comfortable. I bought these hoping the 3/4 length would reduce the sagging fit I get from my full-length base layer bottoms. It didn't; continued to have sagging fit. So I returned them.

Good choice for downhill skiing

Nice 3/4-length layer. Well suited for skiing and not always easy to find. Mid-weight good for all but the most arctic conditions.

No longer true 3/4, lower quality waistband

New version has the elastic waistband and is fully 6 inches longer. Pretty disappointing. The ideal situation with the old ones was to tuck the bottoms into a pair of OTC ski socks so you only had one layer in the boots. These'll have a pile of sag around the knees. The waistband is an awful downgrade over the previous version.

Great length

Bought these for my boyfriend for skiing and he really likes them! They keep him warm on cold days, and he really loves that they are a cropped length so that they don't bunch up in his ski boots.

Quality Bottom Bas

Quality base layer bottom in wool. Feels comfortable and warm. Like the shorter length.
