Beware, poor quality
I had shorts split on in seam the entire distance leaving me exposed. Contacted Icebreaker and they would not replace shorts, it seems that they are premium price with sub premium construction and customer service
Finally, excellent full merino running shorts!
Icebreaker amazes me with their ability to make different technical fabrics from merino. These are very soft, super comfy, non-itchy shorts with great ventilation, and of course they don't develop a bad smell like synthetics. I've worn these several times in a row on hot runs, rinsed and line dried between, and no smell. I do agree they are pricey. I found mine on a clearance rack and used my dividend. But I would consider paying good money for another pair. They're one of my better purchases at REI. PS Always wash merino delicate in cool water with wool wash and line dry.
I got two pairs and both ripped in the same spot
After only a few months, both pairs ripped in the crotch, making them useless. Thankfully Icebreaker gave me gift cards to cover them. But it took months of email follow up from me to get the gift cards.
decent but the pockets are too small
The shorts are very good in a fashionable style. I am not satisfied with the pockets. These pockets are too small to hold even iphone but some keys only.
