The Proper Length
Wore the 9 Trails and then the Multi Trails versions on my thru hikes last few years .. loved them, but always felt like they were a skosh too long. These 6” versions feel perfect .. 2k trail miles this year and no problems.
finally some multi trails shorter than 8”
Been buying the 8” version of these for a few years and I’m glad to see that finally have some shorter ones. Skys out thighs out!
Not the quality I expected.
These caused chaffing and wore out within a year. Other less expensive shorts have been better.
Even for women
I am a woman who didn't like how short some of the women's shorts were (I am 6'1") and these 6" shorts are the perfect length! They allow for easy movement, don't rid up, and I really like the built in liner instead of wearing spandex underneath. The material is quality and I have another pair of black shorts that I have had for years. As a woman I am typically an 8, and still got a size M and they fit perfectly. More colors Patagonia??
Zipper issues are not exagerated
I have several pairs of Nine Trails that are still in use but I wear them so often, I wanted to get some more so I can go a little longer between laundry days. I read through the reviews and despite the issues mentioned (zippers, fit, fabric), I decided to try a pair. First, the zippers- yes, I miss the rear zipper. The side zippers, as stated in some reviews, suck. The get bound up frequently, so far I have been able to get them freed up, but we'll see how long they last. Second, the fit- I don't notice much difference in the fit. Third, the fabric- some of my nine trails are nearing 6 years or more. I have noticed no snags in the fabric unless it was my own fault, like trail running and getting snagged on some briars. I don't blame the fabric for that, but the new Multi Trails, after about 2 weeks of casual, light use, I already have a snag in the fabric. No, I have not used them in the woods yet. In summary, the Multi Trails are ok but a step down from previous generations. If they were about $40 they might be worth it. Unfortunately, at the sticker price, the flaws outweigh the good.
perfect
Perfect for running without chafing, try out extremely quick and are super comfortable
Great when they arrived but did not last
I loved these shorts when I first got them but within two months of being worn once a week they have holes. Definitely expected them to last longer than that.
