Extremely disappointed in the sizing

I am a standard size 8. I have never had a shoe that isn’t an 8, in the past 20 years. Women’s clothes can be wildly various, by shoe sizes tend to be standard. I read the reviews on this shoe, but I ordered my normal size 8 anyway. It was too short. I don’t live near an REI store and I was using a gift card. I wish my family member had not given me this gift card, as REI makes you pay for mail returns. I ordered an 8.5 on this shoe and it is *still too small*. Unheard of. I don’t reallt even want to waste my money and time ordering a 9 to find that it is too small again. The shoe itself is light but please beware, listen to the reviews, do not purchase this shoe online.

I ordered 4 pairs of different sizes and have received one pair today. They are true to size! I took a picture of it side by side with my nike of the same size. I love that these hiking boots are pretty light weight. I haven't worn them on an actual hike yet. Just think the post would help to clearify the sizing issue.

Great Looking Boot, Inches Too Small

I've never worn Five Ten. Either the size was inaccurately marked or their sizing is really small. I usually wear a 7-7 1/2. These seemed more like a 5. I put them sole-to-sole with my Merrells and they were almost 1 3/4 inches shorter. I liked the look, but have no idea how their sizing works. I recommend with reservations - try them on in-store.

I've been looking for new hiking boots after wearing my Ahnu's into the ground, so snatched these up when there was a really good sale on them. I followed the other reviews that said sizing is really small and ordered a size up - a 10 instead of my usual 9. That was a mistake, the 10s are far too big. Seems like my usual 9 would have been the right choice, even with my wide feet. I love the light blue color, it's bright in a fun way. That portion of the boot is also nice and soft/ supple. Hard to judge much else without a proper fit. A little bummed 9s are sold out now!
