Stability and durability over comfort and flex

The main thing is that I am pretty consistent wearing a woman's 8.5. I ordered these in an 8.5, but they were too small. So, too small that I would need to try on to see if it was a 9 or 9.5. The rest is bad for my unique likes, but may actually be great for the average. I have narrow feet with a high arch and am a forefoot runner. These shoes were probably about perfect width for thicker socks. So, if you have wide feet, they may be too tight. They didn't seem to have the right shape (I only put one on, stood up, tried to flex, and put it back in the box). It felt as if the arch was too far back maybe. But, no arch support. The soles were very firm and heavy. I could definitely feel the hiking box pedigree. But, these are probably not going to be great for trail running or anyone looking for flex over durability. I loved the color and really really wished they were right because I liked the way they look. But, alas, not for me.

Little Short

I was hopeful when I searched for women’s hiking shoes in size 12. Vasque is an amazing brand so I was hopeful and proceeded with ordering these. I always order a size up to accommodate my custom orthotics. I loved the sole and the waterproof feature. Unfortunately, when they arrived and I slipped them on (no inserts), my toes were at the end. Such a huge BUMMER!!

good waterproof day hike shoes

I ordered size 39 based on my euro shoe size. The first day my feet ached, the thick soles are hard compared to a Hoka sneaker. By the 2nd day I had no issues. The shoe is supportive, and the treads held up on the hikes. Incline and decline I didn’t slip. No foot pain after the first day. And they are truly waterproof, walked through glacier runoffs with no problems and the higher insole allowed for walking through low puddles with no problems.

Nice looking shoe, but runs too large

These run really large. Sometimes I will take a nine but even the 8 1/2 were too big.

waterproof but small

I really wanted to love these. The color is awesome and the soles are super grippy on all sorts of terrain in wet conditions. But, definitely size up. I wear a eight and my toes were crunching in the end of these

Narrow shoe

I wear a size 7B reliably. This shoe runs narrow. I needed to return it. Other than that I thought it was a very nice shoe.

Great look, but not for my narrow feet!

I love the look and the colors. I really want to like these shoes, but despite being a 7 and I did order a 7, but it runs a little large. Maybe it's for people with wide feet because these were not secure on me. And I even tried wearing thicker wool socks, but it didn't work. I definitely will return these. My hunt for hiking shoes continues...
