The Firebrand is comfy right out of the box. I opened them up and took a 2 mile walk. They did great. I own the waterproof versions of Sawtooth low, Bridger low and mid, and Cirque Low. The Firebrand is as comfortable as the Sawtooth and more comfortable than the others in my opinion. However, the look of the Firebrand is less rugged than the Sawtooth, making them quite versatile. Although they appear to be sleeker than the Sawtooth, there is still plenty of room in the toebox for my wide forefoot and bunions. I think they're going to be my go to shoes.

Not like the Original Firebrand
Hate to be negative but my original Women’s Firebrand, purchased in 2017 has been the best shoes I have ever owned. They are still good but getting worn. Ordered these in Lilac. They are dark purple, not lilac. The shoes are not my old size, so smaller, more narrow, and the quality is not the same. I understand Oboz was bought out by Kathmandu from New Zealand in 2018. End of story!

Color Lilac! Yes!

I just ordered these during their big sale. They arrived today so new at trying them out. I usually wear Keen for hiking but wanted something different for touring. I read that some felt the color was more purple than lilac. Well, lilacs come in all shades. I love the color! Took a photo with my lilac pants to show the color. Because I haven’t worn them hiking I’m not sure how they will be. Definitely well made. Feel good on the feet. About the same as my low keens. I wear a size 8 & ordered an 8. I will updates after I wear them a bit longer than just out of the box. I never had to ‘break-in’ my Keens so hopefully these will be the same. Definitely a hardy shoe.

Run large

Great gripping ability, I hear the rubber grabbing! Great colors. Unfortunately, my left heel slips free while walking during in home try on test. There is no way to tighten or lace shoe any differently so I will have to return them. Unfortunately, I checked for one size smaller and they are out. :( Very bummed! They were on sale & my husband gifted me his membership dollars so they were a great dal. Also, I love this boot, I have worn out my mid level pale moss boots and they stopped making those all together! Super sad! I live in Moab, Utah and hiking is my go to 4 days a week 4-10 miles per outings. Must try on in store. Would not recommend for online shoppers.

Runs very small, narrow

I wear a 9 in shoes, 10 in running shoes. I tried these Oboz on in a store but they didn't have my size. I went up a size (10) but they were still very snug. After walking around the house for a couple hours in them, I decided to return them. I would recommend, if you need a wider toe box or have any fashion of bunion to go with a different brand (I had a lot of luck with Keen and wide Merrells)

oboz

I wasn’t sure if order bc the mixed reviews. I don’t like the new oboz how they fit, the look and no arch support. BUT this pair in Lila made my day. I walked without any problem the first time I had them on. I’m a fan! Love the bulky look, the color is not strong and matches with jeans. I wear 8.5/9 so I ordered 9.5 excellent fit with room for tired and swollen fit.

Nice boot, just not for me

This is an update from my original post. I ended up taking the size 8 back because after wearing them for about an hour in the house, my right toes were numb. I ordered the size 8.5. They arrived on Friday. I wore them around the house on Friday, but I could tell already, that while they appeared to be larger, the toes space was still tight. I usually wear Keen hiking boots but was looking for a different style. When I returned them and told the sales rep they were too tight in the toe, he recommended the #1 boot they sell...Keen for wide toe box. I am still giving it a 4 star because they are well built, loved the color, left foot felt great, but my right foot, not comfortable. See photos from my original review.

A solid but heavy shoe

Was looking for a somewhat lighter alternative to my Oboz boots. Disappointed to find the actual wt of this women's shoe size 8.5 weighs 2# 1.1oz. Shoe feels solid, supportive, comfy like my boot but essentially no lighter.

Problem with sizing

Couldn't get my foot into the shoe. Very disappointing as reviewers said that the toe box was very roomy which is just what I need. Small for size.
