I bought this for my hiking in Canmore and Banff. It's good in my feet for continuous moderate hard inlined buy after 3 days of short hikes some fibrics /soles start to come out already. I'm a Lil disappointed considering the prices. can I still return this? It's less than a month.
Love my new Moab 3 shoes! I wore them everyday for the last 2 1/2 weeks. We went hiking everyday up in the beautiful Canadian Rockies…they were perfect, great grippy soles, wide toe box, and stylist to boot!
Brand new out of the box hiked 3 days/30 miles. No blisters. No foot pain other than tired. Great hiking shoes!
Perfect fit from the start! No soreness and no blisters! Hiked Gorham in Acadia to break them in!
Was happy to see a new edition of Moab 3. I have a Moab 2 Gore-Tex that I really like and wanted a cooler shoe for summer. Ordered these in brindle/tea and am pleased to say that the color is a bit darker than what it seems on the website. The mesh is a sort of greenish and the leather is smooth and taupe. The midsole is not quite as soft and responsive as I thought it might be, but is still really comfortable. Put them on and went on a 3 mile walk with zero discomfort. I have a rather narrow foot and the Moab does a really nice job of securing one’s heel while providing a sufficiently wide toe box. I tried another brand recently that just found offered women’s size 12 about which reviews raved. Must say that I was disappointed. Putting on my Merrell’s was like putting on a pair of slippers by comparison.
Thank you for sharing your feedback.
I’m new to Merrell and researched this as an option long before buying, I was not disappointed. Compared to the other option I purchased at the same time (the antora 3) these had better arch support and despite the loud squeaking indoors, it was not noticeable on the trail. The first outing I took these on was over wet terrain and loose rocks up steep hills. They provided sturdy grip and traction, I felt confident weaving up and down the switch backs. I have had two knee surgeries and was happy at the amount of cushion. After a three hour hike the only thing sore were my shoulders! I would highly recommend these.
That's awesome!
These are my first pair of hiking shoes, so I can't compare them to others. However, I really like the color, and the sizing is true to fit. There’s a small amount of extra space inside, which I think is ideal for hiking, though you might want to wear thicker socks. The material feels sturdy, yet they aren’t too heavy. One thing to note is that they can be quite warm, especially during hot summer days. I’ll definitely explore other products from this brand in the future!
I’m disappointed that my recently purchased shoes are not holding up well. I bought these Moab’s a few weeks ago and while they are very comfortable, some fraying has appeared on the upper fabric just under the inside of the ankle on both shoes. My last pair of merrels lasted almost 10 years of hiking but it seems improbable these will serve as long.
Perfect hiking shoes! Climbed to summit of Mt LeConte in Great Smoky Mountains National Park a few weeks ago, about 13 miles round trip. Shoes were very comfortable & I didn’t slide on the slippery, wet rocks at all. Can’t wait to go in my next big hike with my new shoes!
We hope you enjoy many adventures in your Merrells!
Ok full disclosure this is my 30 or of Merrell in 40 yrs. And I can honestly say the Moab 3 is the best. A solid gripe, comfortable to go 2 miles to 8 . I fractured my fibula and have an ankle brace that fits perfect in my shoes. Loved the twos but threes are the bomb!
