Best comfort, protection, and style
I’ve been using the Adidas Terrex Skychaser Gore-Tex, and the experience has been outstanding. These shoes are incredibly comfortable, with a sole that provides excellent grip on all kinds of terrain. The design is both stylish and functional, and the Gore-Tex lining keeps your feet dry and well-ventilated—perfect for both mountain trails and city streets. Another aspect I really appreciate is that they’re made with recycled materials, showing a real commitment to sustainability. I love that such a high-performance, technical shoe also supports an eco-friendly approach. Definitely a great choice for anyone looking for versatility, protection, and environmental consciousness in their footwear.
Perfect Allrounder for every tour and weather
The Skychaser is a great hiking shoe. It’s comfortable, the design looks fantastic, and I really liked that its waterproof. Another big bonus is that you don’t even have to tie the laces – this makes things much easier and, in my opinion, adds to the sleek look. Whether you wear it just for short walks on the street or on rough trails in the woods, the shoe performs very well on different surfaces. I deducted one star because the shoe felt a little stiff on the first hike, but on the second one it already begun to get much better.
Meh.
I got these for outdoor archery, so I wanted secure balance, comfort, waterproof, comfortable and easy to remove mud from. I thought these were all the above until I wore them, and found they're not comfortable, the solid sole makes me less stable and I was shooting in a field that had had sheep in it so played removing poop with a stick. Would prefer less drop and some flexibility for the sole, and definitely a wider toebox for walking. They are just at the limit in length, but the width is wide - although they're easily adjusted for narrower feet, the toggle ends up very long and impractical. I regret getting these for the price tbh.
They're going in the trash.
I bought these for work. I work in a store as a cashier and floor clerk so I needed something comfortable and grippy for wet, slippery floors. The grip is definitely there, that's not the problem. The problem is: these are probably the most uncomfortable shoes I've ever purchased. They are hard as rock; zero support. I bought new insoles hoping they would improve. Nope. By the end of the day I'm grouchy because the bottom of my feet are so sore. I feel like I've been walking on rocks all day. I will be purchasing new work shoes, again. I just can't take them anymore.
Great walking shoe
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great walking shoes. Extremely comfortable and waterproof.
Lightweight, grippy, and reliably waterproof
The Terrex Skychaser GORE-TEX shoes are great for fast hikes and mixed terrain. The Continental outsole has excellent traction, and the Lightstrike cushioning keeps them feeling responsive without getting bulky. They do run a bit stiff at first, and there’s a short break-in period, but once they soften up, they’re comfortable and supportive. A solid choice if you want a durable, agile hiking shoe that performs well in wet conditions. Rating (out of 5): 4.5 / 5
These shoes are not waterproof
These are not waterproof as the description states. I walked through wet grass for 10mins and my socks were wet. I didn’t hike in these shoes so can’t review comfort on long distance but the shoes were comfortable for the short walk. I only purchased these because of the waterproof description and the shoes didn’t hold up to its description.
Glad I purchased these gore-tex shoes.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm an athletic trainer and I need shoes I can wear during practice and games. The Terrex gore-tex allows me to wear on the sports sidelines with confidence it will keep my feet dry during games in wet and rainy conditions. All of my sideline shoes are Terrex gore-tex.
Fantastic style and comfort.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the style of these trainers and that they’re waterproof. A little snug so recommend going up at least half a size. A bit tricky to get on with the lacing system so also recommend using a shoe horn. Great for hiking or wearing as an everyday trainer.
Not waterproof
The shoes are advertised as waterproof with a GORE-TEX EPE membrane, but after a 10-minute walk on wet grass, my socks were wet around the toe area. I wouldn’t recommend these if you need a truly waterproof shoe.
