KEEN  Zionic NXT Waterproof Hiking Shoes

I wanted a pair of hiking shoes that were less bulky than boots but held up to rugged use, and waterproof. Normally, I would not buy footwear without trying them on. But Keen has always fit well and have been comfortable from Day 1, so I trusted these to be right. And they are. My daily walk takes me up and down steep hills and through a creek twice. They have been totally waterproof, and comfortable going up and down hills. I did try on other brands, but they never compare favorably to Keen on comfort. The shoes arrived quickly. I bought this to bring with me to Japan as I wanted a shoe to keep me warm and also are comfortable to withstand the daily 20K steps. They did hold up and was comfortable and kept my feet dry during the rains. I had wide feet too, and they were fine.

I loved these shoes at first, they were exactly what I was looking for. But less than a year with them and I’m now getting blisters on my heel. There is a seam that runs horizontal along the heel and it’s starting to wear thru and rubbing causing blisters. I’m super disappointed in short life that these shoes had.

I bought these on the same day we started a RV trip, which was full of hiking adventures. They were great right out of the box! They were comfortable and my feet felt secure for miles of hiking!

Perfect fit all around. Good arch support. I will be using them to travel which will include some hiking.

I love these shoes! They have good arch support and keep my feet warm. I can wear them in any kind of weather and for any kind of activity. To me, they are perfect!

These shoes seem like they're going to be great. They have comfortable, soft cusion in the heels, support without being overly stiff, and although they run warmer than a mesh pair they are waterproof which is a bonus. The tread feels aggressive, and so far they are very comfortable to walk around in.

Unfortunately, had to return two sizes as I couldn't find one that would fit. Ordered online through REI website, an 11 and 12 women's. My toes touched the end of the 11 using the insole that came with it. In the 12, I replaced the insole with my custom orthotic which is fairly thick. 12s were HUGE. Couldn't tighten laces enough. Heal slip. Was hoping to try men's version in store as men's are usually a little wider than women's, and com in half sizes. Part 2 of this review has to do with Albany, NY store. Just make the footwear department a self serve. Girl was nice enough but brought what I asked for, then took off. Kept offering women's shoe selections and didn't seem to want to check men's stock for any gortex possibilities. She brought out shoes three times and it took about three times as long as it should have due to her disappearing after each time. And no, store was NOT busy, no other shoppers in shoes, very few in store. Have had this issue at this location before, trying to find employees ON THE FLOOR. This is an LP issue to (-former retail manager).
