Great Saddle

After 2,644 miles and 17,000 ft of elevation of testing these past few months I believe this saddle ranks up there as one of the most comfortable in the market for people with medium to wide "sit bones". Out the box it was fairly comfortable and numbness was kept to a minimal thanks to the seat cut-out. I would definitely purchase this saddle again if it ever dies on me. Not to mention the slick design is very appealing.

Good For Rides Under an Hour

I've had this seat for nearly a year now. I thought if I continued riding it, I'd get used to the stiffness - I'm not. All my 1 hour + rides, I just go numb in the crotch. I'm going to grab a seat with a wider channel and more cushion - the Selle SMP. I had the SMP before, but I sold it with my last bike. Anyway, I like this seat a lot for short, quick rides. It's so thin, and the curves don't snag my inner thigh at all. And the quality is top notch.

Great saddle

I use my road bike to commute daily (30+ miles roundtrip) in almost any weather, and to do longer rides during weekends or vacation trips. I've had this saddle since 2009, and I put 15,000+ miles on it. It has been very comfortable over these years, and it has shown no visible signs of wearing. Last week one of the rails broke; I thought it was the end of it, but I contacted Selle Italia's US representative (ProNet Cycling), I emailed them the saddle, and they replaced the rails and ship the saddle back to me for $25! So, a great quality saddle, with excellent customer support!

Very firm seat - broken after 8 years of light use

The bike seat lasted almost 8 years until one of the supporting pieces of metal snapped in two - making repair impossible. I did get some years out of the seat, but when it broke I can see that the metal is actually hollow - making this a very vulnerable design. The way it broke all of a sudden though with no incident or accident is pretty disappointing.

Comfy Seat

Tried numerous saddles that have included Fizik saddles - Aliante and Arione, Selle Italia Flight, Selle San Marco and found the Max to be the most comfortable by far. It also has better techonolgy for the money when compared to other products such as foam and gel padding, carbon composite platform, and shock absorbing elastomer. The Max adds a little more width and support compared to the Flight giving up some weight as a result.

Vastly increases comfort over a stock saddle

I bought this saddle for my Trek 1.1, which came with a pretty nice Bontrager saddle, but had no perennial nerve relief. After swapping out saddles I've been able to ride longer and be more comfortable on the saddle. The Selle is nicely made, light weight, and most importantly comfortable for anyone who has issues with numbness. You almost wont even need padded shorts with this saddle, but they will make it even better.

Selle Italia Saddle

I've ridden this saddle for a couple of seasons now and it is very comfortable! Since this is a wider saddle, it fit me well but did require some breaking in. I really like how the rails are suspended from the saddle in the back to provide give for additional comfort. Rides over 70 miles in one trip haven't been any problem whatsoever. Definitely recommend this saddle!

COMFORT AND QUALITY!

Got this saddle to replace the stock one on my Madone 4.5. Wow, what a difference! I needed a saddle that was at least 146mm wide was suitable for long rides. This MAX fits the bill perfectly!

Impressed so far.

I replaced my Specialized seat with this one and was afraid I had to break it in. On my first ride it felt different. At the end of the ride I was totally comfortable with it. My other cyclists friends said if there was any seat they would buy it would be a Selle. This is on my lower end road bike. I have now used it on 3 rides and it is a keeper.

Very Comfortable & Supportive

This seat is supportive where you need it and just comfortable enough. I can jump out of the saddle in sprint workouts and hang right over the nose without issue. From there I can slide right back into position comfortable. Leather is very comfortable.
