Seat broke in light crash - Left me stranded
Super comfortable seat, but it fell apart in a fairly basic crash. Good news is Terry replaced it without question. But I had an extremally difficult ride back to the trail head (5 miles with no seat).....
Crotch saver!
I'm on my second one of these (sold my first with a used bike so I bought another for my new road bike). Some claim this is hard, but you don't want over-cushy because on a longer ride more cushion can actually cut off circulation. This saddle puts pressure in the right places (but be prepared to adjust it some until you feel good on it)
LOVE This Seat
I absolutely LOVE this saddle. For some background, I just started biking in April of this year. I had a Trek Dual Sport 2, with a basic Bontrager Sport Saddle. It took some getting used to then was fine. By July I upgraded to a Trek Checkpoint AL3 (Gravel bike with drops). That came with a Bontrager Advanced Saddle and I think it was men's but no sure. Well my butt was so sore, after 5 rides I still hurt every day like I was learning to get used to riding again. I bought this and its been fantastic. Immediately comfortable, have had literally no pain, soreness, numbness and I do 15-35 mile rides. It shows what its for on the back of the packaging- this is good for cycling, from a fitness to lower performance style. It wouldn't be suitable for performance or racing. Everything else should be good. Highly recommend.
Saddle Relief for Females
Purchased for my wife who ride 12-15 miles a day for fitness. She was complaining of discomfort and irritation so I sought out a solution for a saddle designed specifically for women. She loves it and does not complain any longer. We can go for even longer rides and she is happy! Great ergonomic engineering and very well made. A GREAT value for any serious female cycling enthusiast!
No good for wide seat bones
I recently installed this on my bike, and testing it was so painful I've reinstalled my worn-out old Bell saddle until I can order a different upgrade for my commuter. My seat bones are approximately 13cm using the cardboard measuring method. Giving this a fair rating because it is a sizing issue, and I found no fault with the product itself. If I were rating this based on how it made my rear end feel it would get 0 stars.
Comfy saddle
This saddle has been a game changer! My lady bits are very happy with this purchase. As a bonus, my low back no longer hurts when I bike! Improved my riding posture and is very comfy.
Been riding with this saddle for over a year
I have this saddle on my mountain bike and in one year, I logged over 1000 miles while using this seat. I am very happy and comfortable and when I need another saddle, I will buy another Liberator X. Getting used to a saddle or getting re-acquainted after taking some time off of riding may take a couple weeks but once the initial soreness goes away, I have no discomfort.
Would buy again!
As a beginner, I assumed a women's seat would be about two feet wide and was initially a little worried but then was pleasantly surprised after two weeks of riding that it does as advertised. It does get softer! I did ask the REI shop to lock the seat onto the bike with a cable purchased there rather than take the seat off in public. I ride about twenty miles at a time and it seems to get the job done.
Great saddle
Pleasantly surprised how much I like this saddle. I had to replace an old performance bike saddle that I’ve been holding onto for way too long. And I was not looking to spend a fortune. It’s firm at first, but is quite nice on 20-30 miles as well as quick around the neighborhood rides. Seems very well made .
Extremely uncomfortable
I ride 30 to 40 miles 5 times a week. I have been doing so for many years. I have also tried many different saddles. This one was just as uncomfortable as the saddle that came with my bike. And we all no how bad those are. I tired it many different positions and just couldn't deal with it. The Ergon I bought with feels much better.
