Works for many people
This saddle is fantastic and a medical bike fitter, this is a go-to saddle for me to try with my riders who are not getting enough support or who have trouble rotating their hips forward because of the nice flare up of the back most portion of this saddle.
Not as comfortable as I hoped
Bought a new Trek MTB and the factory saddle was really stiff and uncomfortable. I ride a MTB in the city and on trails, and tend to a medium posture (neither flat out racing nor pure upright). Read great things about both Ergon and SQlabs, so I ended up buying both. I tried the Ergon first, and it was an improvement over my Trek saddle, but it wasn't supremely comfortable. Then I tried the SQlabs 610 MD and was blown away. It's BY FAR the most comfortable MTB or Urban saddle I've ever ridden. I had severe scoliosis in my neck and upper back a few years ago, and can't take any chances anymore. The SQlab rocks slightly side to side, to keep back limber, and it has excellent padding, while keeping a low profile. Just make sure to measure yourself accurately, because they come in 4 sizes and you want to get the exact fit.
Seat is great. Rei quality control not so much.
Seat is amazing but rei sold me a used seat. When I went to install it there was dirt on the bottom side. I ended up installing it because it’s an hour round trip to the nearest rei. Pretty disappointed with this. Paid full price for a used saddle.
