Not for big guys
Did not work for me. Im 6'2" 240, and I found this seat to be uncomfortable. The shape is good, but the padding is thin. Quality did not match the price as well. I still love ergon grips, but need a different brand of saddle.

Eragon saddle on 2021 Specialized stumpjumper

Took about three rides to get used to it. I do prefer this saddle over the WTB's. Big test was 30 miles and it felt fine

Equipped on my steel road bike—no more numbness!

I purchased this impulsively because it was very difficult to find ANY Ergon saddles available anywhere. I didn't realize I was buying the "wrong" model and I thought I was purchasing the "SR Pro" in "Small" lol. After purchasing I realized "SM" was the model compared to the "SR." However comparing the two on Ergon's website and after reading a few reviews, I felt confident that the SM Pro would still be sufficient for my 90s steel road bike. After several rides I can say that I love the saddle and see no reason to exchange it! At first it was providing pressure on the outer portion of my "seat," but I got no more groin numbness. After several rides I no longer get any pressure and numbness is a thing of the past. I would highly recommend this saddle to anyone that gets groin numbness.

Early, but well worth it.

The bike I just purchased came with a similar seat but had a rubberized coating. Of course this rubberized coating grips on all the wrong areas if you know what I mean. I bought this seat based on many good reviews and it solved the problem and is actually one of the best seats I have had on any bike.

Best Upgrade for a Bike

Don't be cheap or dumb and buy a super low priced or "Gel Comfort" seat. Most saddles in the 100 dollar price range for either MTB or Road is a good bet, anything beyond that starts going into weight savings. The saddle fit great from the start. I had to play around with the rails for a bit to get the exact fit, but this seat eliminated my saddle sort issues for mountain biking. Remember that this saddle may not perfect fit you and that's okay. Take advantage of REI's 365 return policy and find what saddle fits you best.

Just ok - disappointed

I purchased this saddle, after a lot of research, to replace the original equipment on my Cannondale Trail 8. I was looking for a more comfortable, yet lightweight seat. While the saddle is a bit lighter and slightly more comfortable than there original, it's not worth $110. Not even close in my opinion. For this price, I was also a bit surprised to see somewhat poor craftsmanship under the seat. however, that wasn't a deciding factor.

A Great Upgrade

I needed to replace my stock saddle with something that had less cushioning and a cut out for perineum relief. While I was just commuting and running errands around town, it was fine. But after my first longer mileage bikepacking trip, I knew I needed to get something new. Ergon has a good reputation so I figured I'd give it a try. It has a small amount of cushioning (I'd say the "right amount") that makes it comfortable but not so much that you're sliding around on it. The channel is deep and runs almost the entire length of the seat, making it really comfortable for long periods on the bike. It was easy to install, looks good, and rides well. I also really like the price as a mid-range saddle.
