Selle Royal  Respiro Stracciatella Athletic Saddle

Seat is excellent and fits my anatomy perfectly. I've done 6 rides now and have no break in issues or soreness, probably due to the design shape and gel. When I'm riding the seat is barely noticed, a non issue compared to my previous bike seat. I like the more traditional saddle shape, the athletic version has this. Selle Royal figured out the best way to make an athletic shaped gel saddle. The good thing about the athletic version is that it doesn't impede pedaling while leaning forward on the hoods or in the drops. The cutout for the airflow and tender bits works great. I would highly recommend this saddle. I bought this for my road/gravel bike.

I have a Trek Checkpoint carbon gravel bike and a older Trek Emonda S road bike. I have tried several seats that I eventually returned because after 10 or more miles, they were uncomfortable on my bike rides. I was skeptical when purchasing the Respiro Stracciatella Athletic Saddle, but after riding my gravel bike 50 miles with this saddle, I can say with certainty this is the perfect saddle for me. My sit bones and are no longer in pain and I no longer have numbness. I can remain seated longer and focus on my ride instead of standing on my peddles to relieve sit bone pain. I am riding farther because I am more comfortable. The saddle is not overly cushioned and it has a vent system that keeps your butt and private area cool. I strongly recommend this seat before purchasing more expensive options.

I returned this seat even though I liked the fit and royal gel. As I also ride in colder temps the respiro air channel was not going to be helpful then.
