Osprey Daylite Cinch Pack: so light! I just came back from Spain and it was the perfect day pack.
Purchased this pack for my wife who is very petite (5', 95 lbs.) and has had trouble with daypacks fitting her frame. She has a Tempest 40 that she loves, so decided to give this one a try. It fits her wonderfully just like the Tempest, and even came in her favorite color. We took it on a maiden hike in Shenandoah National Park last weekend in muggy summer weather with an afternoon thunderstorm. The venting on the back was a favorite feature in the heat, and everything stayed dry through the rain. The outer zipper pocket and tough fabric are also great features. This is simply the best cinch-style backpack I have seen on the market, and an excellent choice for smaller frames (it also fits me and I am 6', 160 lbs.). We are looking forward to more adventures with it in the future. Well done, Osprey!
After lots of researching and asking around, I found this day pack, and I love it! Plenty of room for what I want on a day hike. Large compartment with a net semi-compartment, and smaller but still decent sized top compartment, with some netting ""pockets"" inside to hold wallet, phone, etc. Big mesh pockets outside hold my large water bottle, and miscellaneous things I want within easy reach. Water resistant so don't worry about a little unexpected rain. Super comfortable and adjustable. Nothing else like it for the price. Just bought a second one as a gift for someone special.
Great compact backpack for the basics and a bit more. Love the size and space on both the main pocket and small front pocket. Highly recommend it!!
It's a great buy. It's basic and it's durable. I have been using it daily now for 90 days or so. I pack it full of beer from the store like six pack and with what other whatnots. there's no problem it did what it was supposed to do and it's showing no signs of wear, just ain't got that shiny new smell anymore.
The cinch design is so quick and convenient, and I do not like to rely on zippers so this is amazing. It's comfortable and doesn't cover your back in sweat. My dog ripped mine open because I left her treats in it.
It's a beautiful pack, confortable to carry on the hikes and styligh to use even in the city. Love the cinch system. Also has some useful key clips inside. Should have an outside water bottle pocket.
Great day hiking bag.
Super light weight. Holds my 3L bladder with no issues. Comfortable to wear. The cinch system works fine for me. I don’t really prefer it or dislike it over a standard zipper. The main pouch fits more than i expected.
This is clearly a well-made pack, and the straps are light, flexible, and comfortable. I found the cinch closure to be cumbersome, as it is not a smooth movement to clip into the little hook to keep it closed. Also, due to the length of the bag and no zipper, it was awkward to load/unload, and I would imagine you'd have to take everything out to get to anything at the bottom of the bag. The color of the bag was great, and the fabric was standard Osprey quality (aka high quality)! Overall, a well-made pack, but the design was not for me.
