This pack strikes the perfect balance of fastpack pocket accessibility and hip belt support. I just got this pack so have only taken it on a couple trail test runs, but so far I love it! Very comfortable and easy to access my snacks, fluids and phone for pictures while on the move. There is also ample storage space while being compact enough on my back not to weigh me down. The pack design is 5 stars. I took off 1 star because I wish there were more colors options. Having pink and gray be the only women options is a bummer. A blue/ aqua or yellow option would be awesome. Or at least make the straps interchangeable to allow for like customization of color there. I like flare on the trail! :)
I’ve had the Tempest 20L for quite some time and was looking to try something new. I’ve always been a fan of Osprey. They fit and carry well, quite comfortable for me. The Tempest Velocity is quite different. I find there’s way too many large straps and there is no need for a double strap across the chest. It has all the familiar features- plenty of convenient pockets but too many larger straps. I just couldn’t get used to it. Back to the original Tempest.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was looking for 20L pack my 30L is a bit too big for non technical day hikes. I took it out for few hikes and am loving it! Super lightweight, good fit to the body, the side and back mesh pockets makes it more roomy than 20L. Pockets on shoulder straps are convenient. I don’t have a small bottle to fit in there but use it for my phone, sunscreen and energy bars. Hip belt also has pockets and good for small things. Yet to see the durability side but the functionality of the bag is really awesome and I highly recommend it.
It's taken me years to find a bag that fits my very short body, and which doesn't aggravate my hips and doesn't cut into my boobs. This bag is amazing, super lightweight, roomy, great fit for my small (short) body and has loads of handy pockets and pouches. The hydration sleeve was a must have, so I'm really pleased it's a feature too. Lots of adjustment options to get a perfect fit. It's worth the money for a bag with so many features that fits. Highly recommended.
I am using this bag to jog to work with my laptop, headphones, notebook, clothes and other stuff! It has really good support, good amount of space, very useful accessible pockets. It's really great. Will also use it for a hiking trip in the summer. Perfect size and very stable and comfortable to run with. Excellent!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this bag! I had originally been loyal to Dakine but after reading reviews of the suspension system used in Osprey I decided to give it a try. I absolutely love this bag! It's comfortable, practical and bonus, those colors are awesome!
I bought this for female team members and it excelled as a day pack on via ferrata, and hikes; the front storage being popular when climbing also when walking. “Didn’t realise I was wearing it”, was my favourite comment.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have used it only once on a 5 hour hike to summit Quandary. Comfortable enough and finally, an accessible pocket for your phone. My Osprey reservoir doesn't fit as well as in my old backpack.
Dies what you would expect Well designed well balanced and comfortable for all day walks Would recommend
Broke this backpack in on a 17.5 mile hike up Half Dome in Yosemite. Pros: - Comfortable. I'm 5'2" and purchased the XS/S. Had no issues with fit or straps digging in anywhere through the 11 hour hike. All straps are adjustable. - Vest straps are awesome. I stuffed my Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra in one of the front pockets. Secure fit. Having my phone in an easily accessible place was the selling point for me. I typically stick my phone in a phone pouch strapped to the chest straps of my other hiking bags and usually nervous about the phone pouch flinging off. - Fits a lot of stuff: had two 1.5L bladders, two sandwiches, a day's worth of snacks, rain cover, jacket, wipes/day-hike toiletries, headlamp, Nalgene bottle, trash bag, battery pack, gloves, and was 50% full. - One of the pouches on the waist strap has an easy access/unzippered pouch. This was awesome for trash-on-the-go. I stuffed my remnants of energy gel packets here. Cons: - There are no compartments in the body of the bag. It's one big roomy compartment in the back and a small stash compartment in the front. - The cinch closure top is kind of annoying and I would've preferred a zippered closure as I find those easier to handle when my hands are tired/swollen/cold.
