I just tried it for the first time and really like it. It’s very comfortable and light even when the reservoir is full. Good fitting chest and waist straps. Clever magnetic spot holds the tooth clamp against the pack, keeping the tube from swinging or getting in the dirt. Basic rucksack design. Only thing missing are outer zipper pockets. Also the two outer pockets for water bottles don’t grip very tightly. Maybe not an issue if the 2.5 liter reservoir is sufficient. Very glad I purchased this.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] An essential daypack to have! Very compact, lightweight yet has the perfect capacity for average load for one day trip. I even managed to use it for a few days camping trip with ultralight camping gear.

I purchased for 5-10 mile day hikes in national parks. I love the purple color as it matches with my carry on suitcase. I love the 2.5l top fill hydration bladder that actually stays where it should when loaded into the bag and is clipped in. (In the Tempest 20l, the water bladder sags to bottom of that bag even when clipped in). I love the waist belt to help offset water weight from my shoulders to hips. I love the deep water bottle side pockets. I ended up using the side water bottle pockets to carry sunscreen and bug repellent for easier, quick access, and to keep those items away from packed lunch. What is is lacking is a zippered outside pocket. It is very inconvenient and often difficult to dig into that bag to pull out phone, or sunscreen, or a quick snack that I really don't want mingled inside the main bag. Yeah, it has a separate zippered mesh bag at the top inside the main bag for keys and maybe ID. But it's not big enough, not outside the main compartment, and when you fill it or put something heavier in it, it weighs down the top causing sag bag. It needs an outside separate zippered decent sized pocket. Also needed on a day pack this size intended for hiking, loops and tie downs for hiking poles. So easy... that should be a no brainer on every Osprey bag sized so perfectly for day hikes. Certain conveniences are always a better option over less than what's needed on a $130 day pack.
