Osprey  Sportlite 25 Pack

Fantastic pack. I have had many and this is a favorite day pack. I did an 8 mile w 2800 ft vert in the hot AZ sun and it carried everything perfectly well. I will use this for 14ers in Colo and elsewhere as it has plenty of space, compartments, and straps to carry all I need for day hiking.

Osprey kit is so good the company puts it's confidence on ethical guarantees which like their kit seldom if at all will be very unlikely to ever let you down and if it ever it does happen, with their brilliant no quibble guarantees they will sort you out, quickly and fairly. The Sportlite: I have is a superb pack. Well made, comfortable and looks the part. Good for running with your swimming or any othe kit and possessions you need to be safe and secure - all compartmentalised in a fantastic way - their designers have thought of everything. The product quality and comfortability are spot on. An outstanding product with a confident reassuring guarantee. Highly recommended.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this backpack! I used it in Scotland for several day hikes. I found it super comfortable and roomy enough for essentials for hikes of a few hours. I also found that it worked well for my carry on, plenty of space for what I needed on board my flight and easy to stow. I was fortunate to not encounter rain on my hikes, but did have an Osprey raincover with me just in case.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The backpack is a very different colour to the picture advertised. The bag is very small and appears to be constrained in use by the appalling rigid frame stitched permanently into the back of the bag. This makes it unecessarily heavy and unconfortable, as well as restricting space and access inside. Hugely dissapointed, as this is not as described.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Exceptional Support and Stability (A Must-Have for Rehab & Recovery!) ​I picked up the Osprey Sportlite 25 Extended Fit to use as a dedicated daypack and a highly organized auxiliary gear bag, and it has absolutely exceeded my expectations. Right now, I am working through a structured hip recovery program, and finding a pack that doesn't aggravate my joints or throw off my balance has been critical. This pack nails it.

I think I got a winner. This is my first backpack for actual backpacking. I like the weight, the fit and the color. The real test is how this baby holds up on my 6 day hike in the Canadian Rockies. I'll know in early Sept.

I have owned several daypacks over many years for hiking, for airline travel, for the gym. I've never been fully satisfied with options for hiking - until now. Most daypacks are too narrow making them hard to insert and remove larger clothing. Depending on where you hike, you need to carry at least a fleece jacket and rain gear. And when daypacks have a waist/hip belt, it's too flimsy to be of much use. The Osprey Sportlite 25 is perfect. The main compartment is roomy and easy to use, and it has additional compartments/pockets that are great for hikers. And it has a wide, sturdy, dependable hip belt! And a surprising feature is that the height of the shoulder straps is adjustable, which means the hip belt can be positioned properly at the hips. Adjusting the position of the shoulder straps is easy to perform, and they don't slip under load. The sternum strap height is also adjustable. This is easily the best daypack for hiking that I have ever owned.

It’s a nice pack but maybe too much for light day hikes

Bought this to upgrade on my NorthFace which I had for 10 years and wasn’t cutting it for me anymore. Brought it for Acadia for a week of hiking. Loved the hip straps / airscape during the week and it was great for the sunrise hike of Cadillac Mountain

Fits well. Lightweight. Versatile compartments. Water bottles can be accessed in side pockets without removing rucksack. Very pleased.
