Downburst Men 36L

It is waterproof though the 2 compartments I found were incompatible. The side pockets were tight and it was a struggle to remove water bottles. First Osprey and I was not disappointed. . . if they addressed the above, this would be close to prefect!

No Such Thing as Bad Weather, Only Bad Equipment

I spent a lot of time hiking in the Pacific Northwest, and let me tell you, it's wet. Very wet. We get 9 months of rain here, and sometimes you practically have to swim to work. Having the appropriate gear which enables your to comfortably enjoy the great PNW year-round was life changing. Downburst helps you hang in what weather you would expect from the name. When you can rest assured that all your important supplies are as dry as the desert you can really cut loose! And let me tell you, walking the wild forests beneath the pouring rain is a primal and beautiful experience. Doing it dry, warm, and comfortable feels like an unbelievable privilege. Sometimes a raincover doesn't cut it, and your suspension system will get soaked even with the best of raincovers. Do yourself a favor and invest into an all around waterproof pack! Beyond all this, Osprey is pushing the industry boundaries for waterproofing technology, and they are doing it with sustainable and safe chemistry in mind. If you live in a wet area, there is no other pack I would recommend.
