Brooks  Ghost Max 2 Road-Running Shoes - Men's

I bought this shoe in July 2024 and I am very disappointed in the design of the grip and durability of the outsole. I have done less than 200kms and the outsold grip is almost gone from the front of the shoe. The sole was really never good in any wet conditions and after a number of runs they became like ice skates. I would avoid this shoe if you want to run on any wet surfaces or need a show with outsole that last longer than about 170kms

The wider fit is perfect — plenty of room in the toe box without feeling sloppy, and they cradle the foot beautifully. Finally found a shoe that caters to different feet sizes and shapes. The shoe fits great and love the lightness and ease of walking in these with its gentle rock assist in the sole. The shoe has helped with my slight hip pain as it keeps my stride true and focused with great ankle and arch support. I love the all white colours and by far my favourite shoes.

I have never owned a pair of Brooks running shoes. I’ve had foot issues for years and my visit to the podiatrist changed everything. She recommended I change brands to Brooks and specifically the Ghost Max. I now have three pairs and love them. With daily exercises and the Ghost Max 2’s I have no issues. Thank you Brooks.

Purchased my second pair of Ghost Max 2 sneakers and then went and bought a third pair and also a pair for my husband. They are fabulously comfortable and so supportive. I power-walk approximately 7km every day and absolutely love them. Actually just finished a 14km walk and feel great! Thanks, Brooks!

I currently run on a treadmill between 8 and 12 miles per week or 2 miles per session. I previously ran in Ghost 15s and most recently Glycerin 20s and found both to be very good from the start. The Ghost Max fit my feet well and are true to size for me. Although the shoes were comfortable from the start, it did take several runs to get used to the shoes. There was no discomfort, but I did feel like my feet were landing on the treadmill deck differently. The only thing I can think of is the difference in the shape and thickness of the sole from what I was used to. I continue to run in these and have found them to be very good to run in.

Every Brooks shoe I've tried has been very true-to-size, but the Ghost Max 2 ran a little small; I should have gone a half-size up as it felt a little more narrow in the toe than I'm usually accustomed to from Brooks. The trade-off was that this shoe feels remarkably stable, especially compared to other shoes that favor the rocker shape sole. Somehow, there was a good balance of rocker-shaped runner and comfortable, stable walking shoe. I wouldn't pick up a pair of these to use strictly as a trainer, but this is a great option if you're going directly from work to the gym, or if you find yourself sprinting between connections at the airport.

I haven't worn them yet, but purchased them as a backup for my Ghost Max. I suffered from terrible foot pain on the tops of my feet and osteoarthritis in my feet to the point of barely being able to walk. A foot doctor recommended I go to a running store and be fitted with shoes. I ended up with the extra wide Ghost Max. It not only are my feet nearly pain-free, I've started mall walking and while my feet are a little sore, the extreme pain has not returned. Now the weather is getting warm and it has me wishing I could find a Ghost Max with a lightweight/breathable upper or even better, a sandal. This shoe truly has been a Godsend.
