[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Ghost 18 GTX were my first choice for the dreaded bad weather run. When it’s pouring when you start your run, grab these. The shoes had great grip for gravel and road even in the wet, kept my feel dry and blister free, and looked awesome. The cushion and support was excellent just like other Brooks shoes and I found them to be supportive during longer runs. I did find the shoes less breathable during super hot days +90F and the toe box felt a little tighter when my feet got hot. Overall I still found myself gravitating towards these when the weather was nice, raining, or in between, knowing I’d feel confident on their grip, the protection from the rain, and the support from the soles.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Most comfortable gore tex shoes I've tried. Shoe is very comfortable and I've worn it throughout the whole day and it didn't hurt my feet like other running shoes. These work as regular day shoes as well. Shoes came in standard Brooks shoe box with gore tex tag. Nice color scheme tan and gray. Can't review how well it will hold up in rain as haven't gotten it wet, pour some water and it didn't go through which is a good sign. The shoe isn't as rigid and stiff as other gore tex shoes I've tried and it is more flexible and still feels breathable so I'm not certain this will be as good as in the rain but they are sure comfortable. The shoes should do well in wet climates, the sole of the shoe has good grip and traction, I've used for some trail run.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, I am pleased with these shoes for heavy use on my daily running routine, which is mostly road and treadmill with some occasional offroad. The ankle support is great: the shoe hugs the ankle through the entire stride and does not shift. I have not had any chafing issues. The sole cushioning is above average. Much of the shock is absorbed during normal running. The raised tread is also perfect for running on wet road surfaces without slipping. The laces have an elastic loop-back that keeps tight after tying, a feature I haven’t seen before and was very pleased with. The appearance of the shoe is very plain (if that is important to you). I have the off-white color, they are not flashy at all. The width is slightly tighter than other brands at this size, which may be an issue for users with wide or flat feet.

Add wider fits and this would be a great product and I would be a happy man.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I first got this shoe, I was unsure about the color- I definitely tend to gravitate towards loud crazy colors for my running shoes. But the muted earth tones have really grown on me. I have not had a chance to put some running miles on them due to a back injury, but I did break them in walking many miles on a Disney vacation. The shoes are very comfortable and sized correctly. I like a wide toe box, and these have good room for my toes to spread, even without being a ‘wide’ size shoe. The cushioning feels like it is in the Goldilocks zone- plenty of softness for longer runs without being too squishy or making your stride sloppy or unsteady. Being in Florida in the summertime, of course I got to experience these shoes in the rain. After getting caught in an afternoon shower, these are my feelings: The grip is good- nothing bad to say about the tread or the traction. On rain-slicked pavement and asphalt, I never felt like I was in danger of slipping or falling down. The only area where I felt like the show doesn’t perform as well as it should is the GTX (gore-tex) portion. The breathability felt fine- I never felt like I was wearing a hot, sealed up shoe. But the waterproofing let me down. At first I thought it was amazing- my feet didn’t feel wet from the rain at all. But after a short time wlaking through a drizzle, I could feel something was up. After pulling the shoes off, my socks were damp. Definitely not soaked, but much wetter than I expected. Overall, I think its a great shoe. Just dont expect it to perform miracles in the rain.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I found these shoes to be very comfortable and also sturdy. I wear them at work and I am a doctor and am on my feet standing all day long, and these shoes deliver comfort and support, and I highly recommend them.
This color has got TO GO. It looks like old people's mall walker shoes. I'm 55 yo so I can say that schite Shoe manufacturers: stick to PRIMARY colors. Black, blue, etc. You try earthy colors and they never work.
Good cushioning support and traction and of course waterproof. I have found not that breathable but I guess that’s the trade off for goretex
great support and comfort .......the Gortex material not only keeps you dry but also helps repel stains an makes them easier to keep clean
