[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Ghost 18 offers a surprisingly springy sensation underfoot that adds a noticeable extra pep to every step. While the flat-knit tongue requires a quick adjustment when first putting them on, it remains securely in place throughout the entire duration of a workout. The mesh upper is breathable ensuring that feet stay cool and comfortable. This shoe provides a secure and supportive fit that balances stability with a flexible, non-restrictive feel across the top of the foot. Overall these are the perfect choice for anyone looking for an energetic, active vibe that maintains high-level responsiveness from start to finish.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a loyal Brooks fan for many years, I always get excited about their new drops, especially when it comes to the new technology they introduce. The Ghost 18’s are sleeker than the Adrenaline GTS 25’s. There is a lot more support to my foot in the Ghost 18’s and I really loved how breathable the tops and tongues of the shoes are. It was such a welcomed sensation when I was running and the heat was able to escape to help keep my feet cool. I’m not used to that and it was really nice. The shoes were a little firm around my ankle to start, but once they got worn in, it stopped bothering me there. I think if I would’ve ordered a half size up, this would not have been a problem (I usually do this!).
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought these for my day-to-day working shoes. Up and down on concrete all day most comfortable shoes I’ve ever owned. Would give six stars if available.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have run in at least 10 iterations of the Ghost over the years. When I buy a pair of Ghosts I am not looking for flash or max comfort. I am looking for something that can handle any type of run reasonably well. In this space, the Ghost has maintained it's place as the most reliable daily trainer. It's not been without innovation and I appreciate the features in this years model. The midsole is soft enough to be comfortable but will not bog you down if you want to pick it up. I like the updates to the tongue and the the heel flare. This is the comfortable do it all shoe. It's the shoe you take your travel because it can handle all of your runs from recovery to workouts.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve only had a chance to try these out for a couple weeks so this is what I can say so far. They are extremely comfortable, have a nice wide toe box, they have a good arch, and are really nice looking. Even on my first run, I had no discomfort afterwards. I’m currently suffering from plantar fasciitis and the arch helps ease the pain. I can’t give a full 5 stars because I need to wear them for a few more months to be able to assess them fully. Would recommend!
The tread started to peel off after two weeks of use. Didn't do anything crazy, ran a total of 10 miles and walked about 30 miles in them total. Then this happened… It looks like it is glued together, so I will try to glue it back myself. The shoes are extremely comfortable, But disappointed in the quality.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Brooks Ghost 18 shoes are very comfortable and feel similar to Hokas. I use them daily in my fitness classes and feel very supported. A lot of shoes have a hard sole that hurts my heal and these are the opposite. Lots of cushion and comfort keep me comfortable all day long. Work great for runs as well.
I've run in Ghost 14 for the past 3 years, and really liked them. moved to the Ghost 16 and really didn't like them. As soon as the 18 was released I grabbed them and they are just levels above in terms of comfort and I'm really enjoying running in them!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been running in various Brooks models for a while now, and this updated version of the Ghost does a nice job of making some refinements while remaining true to it’s heritage as a reliable daily trainer. The fit for me was true to size and the shoes are wide enough to provide room up front without slipping in the back. I love the flat knit tongue. It sits nicely across the top of the foot and doesn’t bunch up or create pressure spots. It also doesn’t seem to slide around as much. Cushioning strikes a good balance between being soft enough on easy days with enough snap that you don't feel bogged down. Breathability is fantastic, and is probably the change that I noticed the most. I live in the south where we have already had several days in the upper 80’s with high humidity, so the increased airflow from the mesh upper and thinner tongue are very much appreciated. This is the tried and true Ghost shoe that I always come back to, but with some nice adjustments added. If you want a daily trainer that just disappears on your foot and lets you run, this is it.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ghost 18’s are by far my favorite Brooks shoes. They are quite comfortable, stable, light and you feel like you are walking on a cloud. Helped reduce my knee pain quite a bit.
