Better than yours

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are comfortable right out of the box! Wore them for 6 hours after delivered and can say extra wide is much better than what Saucony or NB offers. Legs and feet were not sore nor tired as cushioning is superb. Very happy with these and roomy toebox.

Good enough

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall a pretty decent shoe. Feels a little heavy and inflexible overall but I’m hoping it changes as I break them in. The design feels a little outdated and quite chunky which I don’t really like but it is comfortable enough for quick little runs if I wanted to use them for that. I think this is a good option for someone just looking for walking shoes or shoes that might last a good amount of time but I wouldn’t really incorporate them into my training. In summary, good shoes but stiff and heavy.

Great shoe for performance with a bit more cushioning.

Very happy with my new Glycerin 23s. I have run in Ghosts for many many many years (since low single digits!), but at 71 I have determined I may need a neutral shoe with more padding, and the Glycerin 23 has delivered perfectly. I run about 41 miles a week, with a 12 mile weekend run, and I have found the heel pain I was beginning to suffer has diminished considerably. I think both the extra cushioning and the slightly lower heel-toe drop (8 from 10) has helped. But the performance of the Glycerin is very comparable to the Ghost (we'll see how my time is in my next half marathon next month!), and I would highly recommend the shoe for anyone looking for a bit more cushioning but still great performance.

Good, stylish road runner

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This shoe from Brooks is both good looking and suitable for roads and light trails. It has eye-catching colors and I like bright shoes as they help visibility when things get dark quicker during fall and winter. I wear it for road running and everyday use around town and with friends. This shoe is really comfortable on the heel and feels soft to run on even when jogging on concrete.

Glycerin 23

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This shoes gave me confidence since the moment I put them on; they felt very supportive without being stiff, providing soft cushioning that protects but stays very responsive, their balanced ride feels very smooth across paces , I even liked them for longer distances feeling very secure and comfortable they also provide a very reliable grip over all.

Perfect

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I can’t say enough good things about these shoes. They may be the perfect daily trainers. The uppers are really comfortable. The amount of cushioning is really nice and forgiving, yet they don’t feel clunky or heavy. The tread works great, even on wet roads. I don’t have a single thing I’d change about them. They’re that good.

Glycerin 23

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I received the Brooks Glycerin they caught my eye as being bold in their colors and was not sure if I would like them. But, after putting them on I found that their flashy look was pretty cool. Being a dad with three young children, I like comfort, but also want to keep up with the times. I had my four year old son say how cool they were, as well as a couple friends, and my 21 year old nephew comment on how they like the Brooks. Putting on the shoes there was a little flap near the edge around the ankle area and I wondered the purpose of this, but then I realized this is a feature to prevent water getting on the socks while allowing for airflow for feet. The cushion in the shoes was just enough. At first I thought it would be too much cushion, but I found it to be just enough for walking and running. The only downside to the shoes is the lighter color of white can easily get dirty, but the material allows for easy cleaning. Overall Brooks, produced another great running shoe and will enjoy these on runs or walks with my family.

Instant comfort and great design

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] From the first time I put on the shoe, it was very comfortable. Almost no break-in period. The shoe has a very springy feel when walking or running, probably because of the large sole. The shoe itself is very light and comfortable to walk or run in. These have become my go-to shoe since I got them for long walks and runs. The structure of the shoe feels good for these activities and it feels stable and secure whether you're walking, jogging, or running, however, because of the large (tall) sole of the shoe, it sometimes feels like you need to be careful not to roll an ankle (no mishaps yet though!) when you're doing other activities like trail running or anything on uneven terrain. The shoe looks great and the design is very purposeful. I can tell that care went into making sure it was well-built and functional. For example, there's a unique, sturdy, but soft and comfortable pull loop on the back of the shoe that makes pulling it on easy. It breathes wonderfully. I don't really have any feedback or comments for improvement. From the first wear, these have been great. Overall, this is a good-looking, comfortable everyday running/jogging shoe that has quickly become my daily pair.

Right out of the box the softness

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Right out of the box the softness is noticeable. Brooks didn’t just slap foam in there to say they did. The cushioning feels plush underfoot in daily runs and long easy days. You get that “I can keep going” feeling instead of the “when will this end” vibe that some shoes give you. Added plus is I love the color. I initially started running in Brooks, late in the game at 55, moved to many different shoes chasing something I found in these Glycerin 23's.

Great style, fit, and comfort!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have a winner! After being disappointed by the new Ghost 17s due to heel slip issues, I returned them and tried the glycerine 23s. I really like the cushioning which felt super comfortable but not bulky or slow. I still felt fresh after 7-8 miles (current “long” run for me, building to a “half” marathon in May). They also look great! I bought the green and white but will likely buy a second pair as they really nailed it with all the colors this time (eyeing the white/black/gum color now). I did have a minor hot spot from the edge of tongue of one shoe at first, but that resolved by my third run and now they’re all comfort. Anyways, thrilled with my new shoes and very happy with Brooks run happy guarantee that allowed me to find the right shoe for me!
