Warm, but..

Over the years the quality has gone down. I own 3 pairs of Burton midweight base layer pants. Bought myself a new pair every year. The 1st is still great, but the 2nd had the lettering fall off after a few weeks. This pair from 2021 Christmas was a disappointment. The lettering started falling off day 1. Also it came new in the box with a 1 inch hole in the crotch. The fabric wasn't sewn together on the seam. Due to the holiday rush, I opted to patch it vs try to exchange for the right size/color. Ultimately, I love their warmth, comfort, and pockets. It's nice to wear non-lined leggings and still feel safe in negative weather. The quality in the details have really gone down, such a bummer.

Durable & Decently-prices

I've a little bit of a leggings/tights snob, so after reading the extreme negative reviews here, I feel I need to share some the pros: 1) They handle use and variable conditions very well -- I'm a big outdoor explorer and tend to work my gear to the ground. Hiking shoes only last a year, if I'm lucky. I bought this pair of leggings in 2021 for northern Indiana and they're still in great condition. 2) They're multi-season. Indiana can go from frigid negatives in January to mid-50's with subtropical-level humidity in early spring. I've worn these in both conditions under some jeans and felt just fine. In other words, they handle variable conditions pretty darn decently for not even marketing that fact. My only other pair that currently does a similar job is my $200 pair of Fjallraven hiking leggings. Just saying. 3) They have a side hip phone pockets made of elastic, and those haven't sagged one bit. 4) The elastic is actually pretty decent for the price. I can't speak for your size zero waistline, but speaking as a curvy outdoor enthusiast (between size 12-14, ordered size L) who hikes every day and tends to wear my stuff down fairly fast, they do just fine. I've never had to yank them back up my waist. 5) They're tasteful and affordable. Let's be honest: a lot of affordable leggings out there are limited in color choice. Mostly black. Burton's going out of their way to give you pretty colors at a fraction of the price. That's notable. In a nutshell: If you're looking for super-tight leggings for rigorous workout conditions, these may not be for you. If you're an outdoor user looking for a decent, affordable pair that'll last multiple seasons to act as a mid-layer for hikes, to dash out for an errand, or layer Ina creative way, these are a fantastic choice. The fabric is soft, and the wait is elastic, so the lifespan is finite, but after two years of layering for hikes, they're doing just fine. Quite comfortable with barely any pilling and no twisted elastic bands or anything like that (despite my laundry abuse). Give them a chance!

Low quality waistband

Overall the fit and color (black with gray stripe) was great, but I returned it because of the waistband. All my other leggings are from Pink and they have a thicker waistband, which helps the pants stay up. This waistband on these is probably only about an inch wide and my pants fell down after wearing them for a couple minutes. Too bad because otherwise they seemed nice.

Firm and Function

Loved these tights. Used them for warmth under jeans. Also they were a great fit. And pretty. I can wear them as outer wear too. They wash well in cold water with gentle cycle and cold water. So pleased.
