REI Co-op  Midweight Base Layer Bottoms - Women's

I would normally wear base layers during the snow season underneath an outer layer but since it’s a few months before winter, I wore these out on an evening walk/hikes instead. They felt good against the skin and were not itchy. I didn’t experience any chafing while walking either. They were easy to wash and I put them through the dryer on med heat since they’re not wool. These are definitely high-waisted though and hit at my natural waist, which is what I prefer when snowboarding (not so much when walking!). I think they run a tad large but I prefer my base layers loose fitting. Also I would definitely wear something over them if not using for snow sports as they don’t have any pockets for anything.

The fit of this base layer is very nice. Easy to add an extra layer without it feeling too bulky. I'm petite (5'3") so it's not common to come by layers that are not too long. The inseam was a tad itchy, though I'm sure that might go away over time with more washing. Overall, it kept me comfortably warm in 50° F weather with a thin, waterproof layer shell worn over. (With it being unseasonably hot, it hasn't been easy to test these in the appropriate weather).

These base layer pants are just what I’ve needed for these cooler autumn evenings and early mornings. They are super comfortable and warm. I am a size 6 and the small fit perfect. I have wearing them around the house on lazy days. I’ve also used them in place of my pajama bottoms. I will be taking them with me as a base layer on winter adventures.

These arrived just as the weather jumped from summer right into fall, with chilly days and cold nights. I wore these on several day hikes and stayed comfortably warm and dry. They fit as expected and are thin enough to avoid overheating.

I was excited when I received these and saw the medium size was actually long enough for my 36” inseam. I tested them out in the cold and they were great at keeping me warm. They are so comfortable that I’ve been wearing them around the house the last couple of days. I’m looking forward to wearing these during winter hikes and skiing. The picture doesn’t do the beautiful color of these justice.

Really comfortable fabric and waistband, but I wish it came in different inseam lengths. As you can see from the photo these go way past my ankle and get kinda baggy at the bottom making them a little awkward to style. I’m 5’5” in height for reference.

This base layer is great! The fabric and weight of the pant is great. I sometimes find base layer fabric to be uncomfortable but I love the feel of these! I sized up because I enjoy my base layers to not be too snug but you can get your normal size. I am also tall and the length on these were great!

These base layer pants are the trifecta of base layers - warm, stay in place, and soft fabric! I had the previous iteration of these and these are a vast improvement (mostly in fit and fabric). Definitely need to get the matching top next.

Bought this for a backpacking trip out west. Used it as a base layer in 30 degree weather and for sleeping in 25 degree weather. Kept me warm, and washes up well. Would recommend.
