These shoes are sized wrong, so order a whole size up from what you normally wear. I normally wear an 8, and have a 9 in these. So glad I gave them a chance. After wearing them for about a day, they broke in and feel like putting on slippers with armor. They get soaking wet on top and yet my feet are warm, cushioned and dry. Ahnu took a hit when Teva took over, the sizing was thrown off and the shape seemed to change some but, sizing up seems to work. It's the classic Ahnu cushioning that makes these shoes special. Be aware these shoes are shallow, and will not keep your ankles dry in the slightest but, I find with rain pants on in a light rain they are absolutely perfect.
I love Ahnu's and recently searched high and low for another pair of sugarpines since the full line of Ahnu is gone. This was my 3rd pair of them. The lining on the roof of the toes is all bunched up. They are unwearable it is so uncomfortable.
I have had 3 pairs of the original Sugarpine waterproof hiking shoes and loved them. Wore them in every possible situation. These are just not the same -- sloppy fit and uncomfortable. Unfortunately I wore them for a couple of hours on an easy hike so I probably can't return them but I won't be wearing them again.
These are comfortable and relatively attractive. However, there are not enough eyelets, so there's no way to lace them to keep my heel in place. I'm bummed because my high-volume wide foot is hard to fit and these have enough room in the toe box.
My second pair in a different color. Very comfortable to walk in.
